About Megaport
We’re not your typical tech company – and we don’t want to be. Megaport is the global leader in Network as a Service (NaaS), and has transformed the way businesses connect to the cloud, data centers, and each other. We’re publicly listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and partnered with the biggest names in tech like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, IBM, and more. Headquartered in Brisbane with a crew of over 600 people spread across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas, our employees enjoy an environment that is collaborative, supportive, and (actually) fun.

Our Team Culture
We’re a team of problem solvers, pixel pushers, code slingers, and cloud fanatics. Culture is more than a poster on the wall here – collaboration beats hierarchy, curiosity fuels our growth, and everyone’s voice matters. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. We work across time zones to execute on our global vision, trust each other to get things done, and never compromise our values for commercial gain. Most importantly, we place our customers at the center of everything we do.

We’re committed to increasing representation in the tech industry and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Don’t meet every requirement? That’s okay. If you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply.

The Role

Reporting to Product Leadership, the Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) plays a pivotal role in translating Megaport’s platform capabilities into clear, deployable architectures for enterprise customers. This role bridges Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams by transforming complex multi-platform solutions into practical blueprints, technical enablement materials, and field-ready assets.

You will work at the intersection of deep technical expertise and customer-facing strategy, ensuring that highly sophisticated solutions - spanning connectivity, compute, storage, and emerging workloads - are articulated with precision and credibility. This role is critical in supporting enterprise sales cycles by delivering the technical depth required to engage senior engineers and architects across large global organizations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop detailed reference architectures and deployment blueprints across connectivity, compute, and storage solutions

  • Deliver regular technical training for internal teams and customers to ensure consistent, accurate solution positioning across compute, network and storage.

  • Create and present technical enablement content including architectural diagrams, implementation guides, lab materials, and solution playbooks

  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to deeply understand new capabilities and translate them into field-ready assets

  • Produce content that addresses complex enterprise use cases such as bare metal virtualisation, hybrid and multi-cloud networking, Kubernetes platforms, database workloads, and AI/accelerated compute environments

  • Design and maintain repeatable solution patterns that scale across industries and regions

  • Contribute to thought leadership through whitepapers, solution briefs, and technical deep dives

What We Are Looking For

  • Extensive hands-on experience in infrastructure, cloud, networking, or platform engineering roles, with the ability to engage credibly with senior enterprise architects and engineers

  • Deep understanding of hybrid cloud architectures, networking fundamentals, and enterprise infrastructure design

  • Strong experience with virtualisation platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes), and enterprise database environments

  • Familiarity with modern workloads including AI/ML infrastructure and GPU-accelerated compute environments

  • Demonstrated ability to create detailed technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides

  • Proven experience supporting complex enterprise sales cycles or customer-facing technical engagements

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • You can work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

What We Offer

  • Flexible working environment – a remote-first culture with coworking options available

  • Generous leave plans – including, parental leave, birthday leave, and a purchased annual leave program

  • Health and wellness support – through a wellness allowance and employee wellbeing initiatives

  • Comprehensive learning support – generous study and training allowance plus paid study leave

  • Creative, modern workspaces – designed to inspire when you're not working remotely, plus access to coworking spaces via our global WeWork membership if you work remotely, but like to get out of the house sometimes

  • Motivated, inclusive team – work alongside industry experts and fresh talent

  • Recognition programs – celebrate achievements with our Legend and Kudos award
