Our technology leverages AI to process data generated on the manufacturing floor, automating failure identification and resolution, improving yield, quality, and time-to-market. In the past few quarters, our technology has become mission-critical for AI server manufacturers. We’re rapidly growing our global presence to enable deeper integrations into our customers’ complex manufacturing environments.

We’ve recently hit an inflection point in the AI Compute market, which is driving significant scale and growth. Instrumental technology plays a critical role in accelerating the delivery of AI compute for global data centers. The ideal candidate is a proven startup leader, who has risen through the technical ranks, carries deep hands-on software expertise, influences their team to focus and urgency, and has demonstrated the ability to transform engineering culture in a startup context.

Key Responsibilities / What You’d Own:
  • Deliver value to customers and drive platform engagement, owning 5-10 customers, you will engage cross-functional teams at our customers and their manufacturing partners in order to help them deliver on accelerated time to market for NPI and improved first pass yield in production. 
  • Launch new programs and production lines, rolling up your sleeves you will personally set up customer projects, oversee station deployments, run correlations, set up and review discoveries and monitors, ensure data is accurate and actionable. While you will have access to resources at Instrumental to assist you, many times you will have to take action yourself and do whatever it takes to deliver ROI to your customers.
  • Perform quarterly executive business reviews, presenting to the VP level to showcase the results and impact attained through the Instrumental platform. Leverage these reviews to spotlight potential expansions and address any concerns that may arise.
  • Identify customer technical needs/pain and product roadmaps to understand future expansion potential. Generating business value assessments to justify further customer investment in the Instrumental platform
  • Orchestrate Instrumental team members in order to maximise value for customers. You will drive our C-Suite, Sales team, Product, Engineering, Data Quality analysts and others on behalf of our customers.      

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of demonstrated success in hardware development and or manufacturing-focused technical program management with experience presenting outcomes to the VP level.
  • 8+ years of total experience with hardware development and manufacturing, and a deep understanding of how to transform movement in specific KPIs such as failure analysis time, yield, throughput, and quality to business and operational value.
  • You have mastered the art of winning others over – you are a natural team player who leads from the front and by example; you enjoy engaging and building relationships with new people
  • Data analysis and failure analysis skills - especially with electronics functional and reliability test data - ultimately the job our customers hire us to do is help them pass test in both NPI and production
  • Exemplary written presentation and verbal communication skills, with a knack for executive presentations - you enjoy crafting data-rich presentations that drive decisions
  • A strategic mindset, with the ability to set the right goal, build an operational plan, and deliver results. You embrace ambiguity and see every blocker as an opportunity to improve

The following is a representative annual base salary range for this position within the Bay Area: $135,000 - $151,000. This position is additionally eligible for variable incentives. In addition, job level and salary opportunities are evaluated through our interview process – we review the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of each applicant.
