About the Role

Our Research Teams are in need of Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to streamline the integration of our research programs with external strategic partners. This role is crucial for enabling model development, synthesizing research from cross functional teams, and ensuring new advancements are effectively implemented against ambitious targets.
As a TPM, you will be responsible for critical tasks ranging from building model related infrastructure to monitoring the creation of entire development pipelines – acting as the connection that enables our partners to deploy the most advanced AI models. Your primary focus will be to increase our research velocity and ensure that our deployments are agile, informed, and collaborative with our partners.

This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

In this role, you will:

  • Build and share a deep understanding of frontier AI model development

  • Work with strategic external partners to coordinate the deployment of the latest OpenAI technologies

  • Successfully deliver high-profile, complex technical projects against tight deadlines

  • Act as liaison between research teams and internal/external partners & leadership

  • Effectively partner with engineering and fundamental research teams of the highest caliber

  • Increase structure in logistical processes throughout entire lifecycle of development

  • Design and implement simple, scalable processes that solve complex problems
