Join the team bringing advanced autonomy to the built world

At Bedrock, we’re moving AI out of the lab and into the real world. Our team is composed of industry veterans who helped launch Waymo, scaled Segment to a $3.2B acquisition, and grew Uber Freight to $5B in revenue. Today, we’re deploying autonomous systems on heavy construction machinery across the country, accelerating project schedules of billion-dollar infrastructure projects and improving safety on job sites. Backed by $350M in funding, we’re working quickly to close the gap between America's surging demand for housing, data centers, manufacturing hubs, and the construction industry's growing labor shortage.

This is where algorithms meet steel-toed boots. You’ll collaborate with construction veterans and world-class engineers to solve physical-world problems that simulations can’t touch. If you're ready to apply cutting-edge technology to solve meaningful problems alongside a talented team—we'd love to have you join us.

We’re looking for a dynamic Technical Program Manager to help build Bedrock’s platform from the ground up, driving cross-functional programs across hardware, onboard infrastructure, and safety.

In this role, you’ll be the force multiplier at the center of some of our most exciting challenges, turning complex hardware-software integration challenges into streamlined, high-velocity execution with real-world impact. You’ll partner closely with world-class engineering teams to deliver the next generation of autonomous-capable construction machinery.

This is a hands-on, high impact role for someone who thrives in early-stage environments and wants to shape durable processes that help a fast-growing company scale.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own complex, cross-functional technical programs, taking autonomous systems from early prototypes through production-ready deployment.

  • Manage execution across software, hardware, firmware, safety, and field operations, aligning deeply interdependent workstreams into a single, coherent plan.

  • Lead system-level integration and milestone planning, ensuring firmware, drivers, hardware bring-up, vehicle builds, and field deployments come together predictably and on time.

  • Facilitate high-stakes technical decision-making, helping teams navigate tradeoffs, resolve ambiguity, and move forward with clarity and urgency.

  • Anticipate and mitigate program and technical risk at the platform level, surfacing issues early and providing leadership with clear options and recommendations.

  • Balance tactical implementation with strategic execution, shaping roadmaps and dependencies while adapting quickly to a fast-moving environment.

  • Define and evolve lightweight program management practices that scale with the company and enable teams to move faster without compromising safety or quality.

  • Operate with a relentless sense of ownership for the success of programs you work on.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or in a comparable technical leadership role, with a demonstrated ability to deliver complex, multi-disciplinary systems from concept through deployment.

  • 2+ years of professional experience leading programs involving safety-critical systems, with an understanding of the rigor, validation, and cross-functional coordination required to operate reliably in the physical world.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Domain experience working on robotics or autonomous systems, with a working understanding of the software, firmware, and hardware stacks that power real-world autonomy.

  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts, risks, and interdependencies and translate them into aligned and actionable plans.

  • A track record of thriving in fast-paced, high-ownership environments, with startup experience strongly preferred and a bias toward building structure that helps us scale through complexity.

Our roles are often flexible. If you don't fit all the criteria, or are in another location (especially one where we have an office like SF or NY) please apply anyway! We'd love to consider you.
