About Us: The Platform - Strategic Initiatives Office (SIO) is a centralized function within the Aladdin Platform organization. Our mission is to lead delivery for Aladdin’s most critical and technically complex initiatives to advance key business priorities, enhance client delivery, and position BlackRock and Aladdin to deliver for future investor needs.

Role Overview: As an SIO Vice President, you will lead the execution of critical and technically complex initiatives that align with Aladdin’s business priorities and client needs, ensuring high-impact outcomes. You demonstrate discipline in execution and cross-functional coordination, thrive in bringing clarity to ambiguity, and are skilled in stakeholder management. You bring a passion for continuous improvement and a commitment to building scalable, resilient solutions that empower teams to deliver at their best.

Key Responsibilities: We are looking for a technical project manager who can independently lead complex workstreams and cross-functional initiatives. You should be able to drive programs from inception to execution, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and business outcomes. You will be expected to manage senior stakeholders, foster collaboration across technical and business domains, and own the delivery and impact of strategic initiatives.

Project Management:

  • Lead strategic initiatives and program workstreams, translating business goals into actionable project roadmaps.
  • Establish clear deliverables, milestones, and KPIs to measure progress and inform decision-making.
  • Design scalable solutions to proactively surface and mitigate risks to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Create documentation and frameworks that elevate team capabilities.
  • Balance detail orientation with strategic context.

Communication:

  • Foster a culture of ownership, transparency and results, building strong cross-functional relationships and influencing key decision-making.
  • Lead initiative forums and participate in steering committees promoting accountability and alignment across diverse stakeholders.
  • Contribute to strategic planning through clear communication and ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrate professionalism through thoughtful and inclusive communication, cultivating trust and reinforcing a culture of collaboration.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 6 – 10 years in a technical project/program management role in financial services or a management consulting role.
  • Experience with the SDLC, waterfall, and agile methodologies (scrum, kanban). 
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps, MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel). 
  • Preferred experience with project/product management tools such as Smartsheet and Aha! 
  • Complex/cross-functional project management experience. 
  • Strong data analytics capabilities
  • Skilled in translating complex technical and business datasets into clear, executive-level narratives for senior stakeholders

For NY7 - 50 Hudson Yards, New York Only the salary range for this position is USD$155,000.00 - USD$210,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model

Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
