Job Description

Role Overview

The Senior Manager, Technical Project & Program Management owns and leads a flagship product development program. This role is accountable for end-to-end execution—from concept through product release, manufacturing ramp, and customer readiness—driving predictable delivery across complex, cross-functional, and global organizations.

---

Key Responsibilities

· Lead a large, multi-year product development program with full accountability for execution, outcomes, and customer readiness.

· Define program strategy, execution model, governance, and resourcing in alignment with business unit objectives and product roadmaps.

· Direct and influence large, cross-functional global teams, including senior engineers, workstream leaders, and functional managers.

· Build and maintain fully integrated program plans across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, product marketing, and field organizations.

· Drive schedule, cost, quality, and risk performance throughout the full product lifecycle, partnering closely with customers, suppliers, and external partners worldwide.

· Provide executive-level visibility through regular program reviews, dashboards, and risk assessments, presenting trade-offs, options, and recommendations to senior leadership.

· Own program financials and resource planning, including budgets, capital investments, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders, ensuring alignment with business priorities.

· Ensure execution readiness for manufacturing ramp, customer qualification, and sustained high-volume production.

---

Technical & Functional Expertise

· Proven expertise leading large-scale, highly complex programs spanning hardware, software, and systems integration across multiple engineering disciplines.

· Applies advanced program and systems integration practices to drive technology readiness, lifecycle transitions, and overall product maturity.

· Serves as a technical and execution authority, guiding senior engineers and functional leaders while balancing innovation, risk, and delivery predictability.

---

Business & Strategic Leadership

· Aligns program execution with business strategy, product portfolio priorities, and customer commitments.

· Translates market dynamics, competitive pressures, and internal constraints into program priorities, sequencing, and investment decisions.

· Partners with senior leaders in finance, manufacturing, supply chain, product marketing, and field operations to deliver against financial and operational targets.

---

People & Organizational Leadership

· Leads leaders within a global, matrixed organization, influencing without direct authority where needed.

· Establishes execution standards, decision frameworks, and governance models to enable consistent program delivery.

· Drives accountability, clarity of ownership, and disciplined decision-making across all stakeholders.

· Builds and scales organizational capability by defining operating norms, roles, and ways of working.

· Reinforces a culture of ownership, transparency, and execution excellence, particularly through periods of rapid growth or change.

· Develops and mentors workstream and program leaders, strengthening long-term leadership and execution strength across the organization.

---

Problem Solving & Execution

· Leads resolution of highly complex, ambiguous challenges spanning technical, operational, and business domains.

· Operates effectively amid uncertainty, guiding teams through evolving requirements, uncertain technical paths and shifting priorities.

· Applies strong analytical judgment to evaluate risks, assess alternatives, and support timely executive decisions.

· Anticipates systemic execution risks and proactively drives root-cause resolution before customer or business impact occurs.

---

Impact & Scope

· Directly influences business results, customer satisfaction, operational performance, and revenue enablement through program success.

· Shapes organizational priorities and resource allocation through program insights and performance data.

· Operates with broad autonomy under strategic alignment, with clear accountability for outcomes.

· Establishes durable processes, governance, and cultural norms that extend well beyond the life of the program.

---

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

· Communicates with confidence and credibility at all levels, including senior executives.

· Navigates conflict, competing priorities, and resource constraints with professionalism and empathy.

· Builds strong, trust-based relationships across engineering, operations, and business teams.

· Fosters open communication and psychological safety, enabling early issue identification and effective collaboration.
