Its open-source framework reaches millions of developers each month, while its cloud platform has processed more than 200 million documents for startups and major enterprises.

The company was founded in 2022, is backed by top-tier technology investors, and has raised roughly $30 million. It is growing quickly from its San Francisco headquarters and is trusted across the AI ecosystem and the Fortune 50.

This is the first dedicated Technical Sourcer on the talent team, reporting directly to the Head of Talent. You will own sourcing strategy, tooling, market mapping, and passive-candidate engagement across AI, machine learning, software engineering, research, product, and related technical functions.

What you will do

Develop sourcing strategies for AI, machine learning, research, software engineering, product, and adjacent technical roles.

Identify and engage exceptional passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, GitHub, technical communities, professional networks, events, research publications, and creative channels.

Build targeted market maps and durable talent pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs.

Write thoughtful, personalized outreach that communicates technical mission, team context, and candidate value clearly.

Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to define target profiles, review candidate quality, and refine searches based on market feedback.

Assess technical relevance, motivations, career trajectory, and likely fit before introducing candidates to the interview process.

Track pipeline activity, response rates, conversions, and sourcing experiments in the recruiting system.

Maintain accurate candidate records and provide clear talent-market insights to the broader recruiting team.

Evaluate and implement sourcing tools, workflows, search methods, and AI-assisted recruiting techniques.

Represent the company professionally and create a positive candidate experience from the first interaction.

Requirements

Approximately 3 or more years of hands-on technical sourcing experience, ideally at an AI company, high-growth technology startup, or similarly technical environment.

Experience sourcing software engineers, machine learning engineers, research engineers, applied scientists, or related technical talent.

Strong working knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, Ashby, Juicebox, and other recruiting or sourcing tools.

Ability to understand technical profiles and turn hiring requirements into focused sourcing strategies and market maps.

Strong written communication and a record of creating personalized outreach that earns responses.

Proactive, action-oriented ownership with the ability to build process without extensive direction.

Strong research instincts, attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and comfort with changing priorities.

Genuine enthusiasm for sourcing and for connecting outstanding people with meaningful technical work.

Interest in remaining a hands-on individual contributor rather than moving immediately into people management.

Ability to work from the San Francisco office three days per week or willingness to relocate.

Nice to have

Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, intelligent agents, developer tools, or AI infrastructure.

Experience sourcing from research communities, open-source projects, GitHub, conferences, or academic publications.

Experience supporting an early-stage or rapidly scaling startup.

Familiarity with talent intelligence, market mapping, sourcing analytics, and AI-assisted recruiting tools.

Bachelor's degree from a highly regarded institution.

Benefits

Hybrid schedule with three days per week in the SoMa office near 2nd and Mission in San Francisco.

$130,000 to $160,000 base salary, with potential flexibility for an exceptional candidate.

Competitive stock options.

Existing visa transfers, including OPT and H-1B transfers, may be considered.

High ownership as the first dedicated Technical Sourcer at a rapidly growing AI infrastructure company.

Direct partnership with the Head of Talent, founders, and technical hiring leaders.

An opportunity to build the sourcing engine, tools, process, and strategy from the ground up.
