About the Team

Droyd builds autonomous robotic systems that automate repetitive manual work in real environments. We design and manufacture our hardware in-house, which means iteration, fabrication, and execution all happen under one roof.

Our test team keeps demo and evaluation systems running, coordinates real-world testing, and helps prepare the company for pilot deployments — a highly practical, cross-functional team at the center of making the product real.

About the Role

As the Test Team Manager / Buyer at Droyd, you will coordinate the operational side of testing and demo readiness. You will help source equipment, manage e-waste procurement, coordinate demo logistics, and keep the test team moving across a wide range of priorities.

This role is part operations lead, part program manager, and part buyer — ideal for someone organized, proactive, and excited to own messy real-world execution problems.

This role is based on-site in San Francisco, CA.

Operations & Coordination

  • Coordinate day-to-day test team operations and priorities

  • Track logistics for test environments, hardware setups, and deployment preparation

  • Work closely with engineering and operations teams to keep testing moving

Procurement

  • Source and purchase equipment, including e-waste and test infrastructure

  • Manage vendors, quotes, and lead times for test team needs

Demos & Deployment Readiness

  • Support demo coordination and readiness across internal and customer-facing needs

  • Help manage competitive bakeoffs and structured comparisons against other systems

  • Help support the eventual forward-deployed and teleoperator-facing workflows of the team

Work Environment & Schedule

  • On-site in San Francisco, CA

  • Full-time

Compensation: $95K–$130K base salary, plus equity

We're Looking For Candidates Who

  • Are highly organized and strong at operational execution

  • Can manage many moving parts across logistics, procurement, and coordination

  • Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical teams

  • Are proactive and comfortable owning ambiguous, high-urgency work

  • Thrive in a fast-moving startup environment

Nice to have:

  • Experience in operations, technical program management, procurement, or hardware logistics

  • Experience supporting demos, pilots, or field deployments

  • Experience working closely with engineering or hardware teams
