About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
Overview of the Role
Our Threat Intelligence team defends Salesforce and our customers by cutting through the noise — identifying who's targeting us and what emerging threats we need to prepare for. Our team brings together experts with backgrounds in threat intelligence, incident response, and threat detection, including those who have faced nation state, eCrime, and other sophisticated adversaries. We use that expertise to drive direction, support investigations, and uplift security across the entire organization.
We are looking for a Threat Intelligence Automation Developer to join our Counter-Threat Operations team. In this role, you will turn massive streams of adversary data into meaningful insights by building and optimizing large-scale automated pipelines — and architect the systems that empower our threat intelligence, Security Operations Center (SOC), and Incident Response (IR) practitioners to stay ahead of modern threats.
Location: Washington, D.C. | McLean, VA | Seattle, WA | San Francisco, CA
Responsibilities
Build and maintain automated pipelines and integrations within our Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP) and Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) ecosystems to support high-speed security operations.
Work alongside Threat Researchers to understand sophisticated adversary tradecraft and convert manual investigation workflows into automated, repeatable detection frameworks.
Lead data collection efforts — evaluate new data sources and serve as the technical authority for data ingestion and normalization initiatives.
Optimize the intelligence production cycle by building automations that remove manual processing burdens, freeing practitioners to focus on complex strategic analysis.
Required Qualifications
3+ years in cybersecurity, including at least 1 year in security engineering, DevSecOps, or automation workflows.
Advanced Python development skills for complex programmatic requirements; additional experience with Bash and JavaScript is a plus.
Hands-on experience with SOAR platform orchestration using tools such as Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR, Splunk Phantom, Tines, or Swimlane.
Experience building and managing solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS), including conceptual familiarity with large-scale distributed systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline; or, an equivalent history of successful technical delivery and professional expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience administering and extending Threat Intelligence Platforms such as Vertex Synapse, ThreatConnect, Anomali, or MISP, including building integrations with these platforms.
Proficiency in normalizing unstructured data via RESTful APIs and regular expressions (Regex), with experience mapping data into structured formats like JSON.
Experience with security analysis tools such as Jupyter notebooks, Splunk, or Elasticsearch.
Familiarity with version control (git) and CI/CD best practices within security engineering workflows.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and strong prompt engineering skills.
Experience with cloud-native automation and serverless computing, particularly AWS Lambda or Azure Functions; additional experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud is a plus.
Proficiency in graph modeling using Vertex Synapse or comparable graph-based technologies to map adversary associations and digital footprints.
Relevant certifications such as GCTI (GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence), GPYC (GIAC Python Coder), or SOAR platform credentials.
Operational knowledge of Linux environments and Unix command-line utilities.
Experience working effectively in a global, geographically dispersed environment.
