Responsibilities

CBIZ Advisors, LLC is currently seeking a highly motivated Transaction Advisory Manager to join its New York practice.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Lead buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, providing financial due diligence assistance to middle market companies and private equity investors.
  • Write detailed reports and perform complex analyses, including the analysis of cash flows, quality of assets and earnings, working capital, potential liabilities and risks, and the impact of findings on the purchase price of the target organization.
  • Advise clients on how to maximize opportunities and minimize risks related to mergers and acquisitions and provide recommendations in the context of valuation and deal structuring alternatives.
  • Responsible for engagement management, including preparing and presenting diligence findings and concepts.
  • Contribute significantly to the development and training of junior staff members.
  • Play an integral role in developing relationships with current and prospective clients, identify market opportunities and articulate our value proposition.
  • Possess the ability to prepare and review project databooks and analysis prepared by engagement team members.
  • Display the ability to manage and prioritize team responsibilities and proactively consult with Directors and Managing Directors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, CFA or equivalent certification - preferred
  • 4-6 years of experience a financial services advisory firm, with 2-3 years of transaction advisory consulting preferred.
  • Proven experience managing projects and teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally.
  • Proficient use of applicable technology.
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines and handle multiple assignments.
  • High degree of professionalism and client service orientation.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 5 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • 3 years supervisory experience
  • Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
  • Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
