Position Summary...

What you'll do...

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join Walmart International Global Tech. You will build and own the Quality Assurance Tools that support the customer journey automation across our international eCommerce banners, from search and browse through checkout, payment, fulfillment, and post-purchase. Your work spans web and native mobile, using Agentic Testing method, NextjS, Playwright and Appium, wired into CI/CD pipelines that give feature teams fast, trustworthy signal on every pull request and release candidate. This is a hands-on engineering role. You write real software, treat test code as production code, and measure success in defects prevented and releases accelerated.  

Walmart International TestOps supports a $26B eCommerce business across 10 countries, ensuring quality throughout the entire customer journey—from search to post-purchase—across multiple platforms and markets. The team prioritizes protecting customer experience while accelerating delivery by developing automation frameworks, CI/CD quality gates, and release-readiness signals. This enables feature teams to ship efficiently with reliable evidence. By reducing defects and manual regression, the team drives higher conversion rates, faster releases, and improved engineering capacity, directly impacting Walmart International’s business performance and customer satisfaction.

What you'll do: 

  • Build reusable AI Native React components with modular CSS, manage client state with Redux and React Query, and consume REST and gRPC. 
  • Measure and resolve performance bottlenecks using Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse, WebPageTest, or custom tooling, and own web vitals and A/B test instrumentation.
  •  Refactor and improve existing code. 
  • Work closely with product, design, and UX to create intuitive experiences. Put tools, processes, and documentation in place to improve code quality. Review code from your team and other teams. Help out with our Node-based developer platform. Ship to hundreds of thousands of users daily with real autonomy over code and feature ownership.

What you'll bring: 

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn and unlearn
  • Prior experience in building AI Native applications - RAG, Vector based Databases at scale
  • Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.
  • Strong experience in delivering scoped features through iterative development and collaborative engineering.
  • Proficiency in debugging, code review, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  • Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions aligned with technical standards.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance development.
  • Skilled in translating complex business problems into actionable technical requirements with measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated technical judgment, adaptability to change, and commitment to engineering excellence.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
