About Solace

Healthcare in the U.S. is fundamentally broken. The system is so complex that 88% of U.S. adults do not have the health literacy necessary to navigate it without help. Solace cuts through the red tape of healthcare by pairing patients with expert advocates and giving them the tools to make better decisions—and get better outcomes.

We're a Series C startup, founded in 2022 and backed by Inspired Capital, Craft Ventures, Torch Capital, Menlo Ventures, Signalfire, and IVP. Our U.S. based team is lean, mission-driven, and growing quickly.

Solace isn't a place to coast. We're here to redefine healthcare—and that demands urgency, precision, and heart. If you're looking to stretch yourself, sharpen your edge, and do the best work of your life alongside a team that cares deeply, you're in the right place. We’re intense, and we like it that way.

About the Role

As a UX Writer at Solace, you'll help shape how people experience healthcare through language.

You'll work alongside Product Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to craft intuitive, human-centered experiences that help patients navigate complex moments with clarity and confidence. Writing isn't something that's layered on at the end of the design process here. It's a core part of how we design products.

We're looking for someone who can simplify complexity, advocate for users, and sweat the details. Every word matters.

What You'll Do
  • Write product content across onboarding, navigation, workflows, notifications, forms, and key user experiences

  • Write technical, audience-calibrated content for advocates, physicians, and other specialized audiences where precision and compliance sensitivity matter

  • Partner closely with Product Design, Product Management, and Engineering from discovery through launch

  • Help define content strategy and messaging for new features

  • Learn, apply, and help evolve Solace's established product voice, terminology, and writing standards

  • Participate in design critiques, user research, and product discussions

  • Continuously improve the product experience through thoughtful iteration and collaboration

  • Explore and shape how AI-assisted writing tools can support clear, human-centered product experiences

What You Bring to the Table
  • 4–6 years of experience writing for digital products or complex user experiences

  • Previous experience working effectively on an agile distributed team

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills

  • Deep understanding of UX writing and content design principles

  • Ability to simplify complex information into clear, approachable language

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Interest in how AI tools can support, not replace, thoughtful, human-centered writing

  • A genuine appetite for feedback, and the instinct to use critique to sharpen the work

  • A growth mindset, with a drive to keep improving as a writer

  • Empathy and strong attention to detail

  • A portfolio showcasing product writing or UX content work

Who We Are

We are a team of ambitious individuals who are passionate about putting healthcare back into the hands of patients. At Solace, you'll have a steep learning curve and an unparalleled opportunity to help shape one of the fastest-growing healthcare startups in the U.S.

Applicants must be based in the United States.

Up for the Challenge?

We look forward to meeting you.

  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
