Role Overview

We are looking for a Financial & Valuation Specialist to independently review, challenge, and validate Nace.ai’s financial models and AI-driven investment workflows. Your role will be to critically assess underlying assumptions across a wide spectrum of financial activities. You will test model logic, verify compliance with respective standards and regulations, and ensure that outputs reflect real-world institutional practices. You will play a key part in guaranteeing the reliability, defensibility, and analytical rigor of our platform's methodologies.The candidate will also be involved in Model Training, Performance and Accuracy optimization, Dataset curation, and Product testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute testing scenarios across a wide spectrum of financial workflows, including M&A, Financial Due Diligence (FDD), market analysis, stock screening, and complex business valuations.

  • Critically assess the AI agent's reasoning chains to ensure it correctly interprets financial data, applies appropriate market approaches, and avoids "hallucinating" financial metrics or calculations.

  • Validate whether the AI's outputs and current models align with accepted financial frameworks (IVS, IFRS/US GAAP fair value guidance) and real-world market practice.

  • Provide clear, actionable recommendations on how to adjust assumptions, improve methodologies, or correct model mechanics.

  • Explain why certain valuation or analytical approaches may be inappropriate and highlight potential financial or methodological risks.

  • Translate complex financial mechanics and investment logic into actionable product requirements and rulesets for the Product, Engineering, and Data teams.

  • Participate in discussions and contribute expert insights when designing new finance- and valuation-related features.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in corporate finance, valuation, investment banking, transaction advisory, or audit advisory roles.

  • Strong expertise in business valuation, financial modeling, market analysis, and the broader transaction lifecycle.

  • Proven experience reviewing or building complex financial models (DCF, market approach, transaction multiples, LBOs, option pricing models).

  • Ability to identify modeling errors or AI logic flaws and communicate them clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills, structured thinking, and exceptional attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a simple, practical way.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with automated valuation tools or AI-driven financial modeling solutions.

  • Experience in SaaS, fintech, or technology-driven product environments.

  • Exposure to multi-jurisdictional valuation practices or cross-border transactions.

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, ASA, CBV).

  • Experience reviewing financials for audits, M&A transactions, financial reporting, or litigation support.
