The Digital Partnerships & Fintech team is responsible for cultivating strategic partnerships and managing relationships across the fintech ecosystem. We work with leading technology companies, ecommerce platforms, financial institutions, modern processors, program managers, and fintech innovators to deliver differentiated solutions, create new payment experiences, and drive mutual growth. Success in this role requires exceptional relationship-building capabilities, executive presence, and the ability to influence stakeholders across complex organizations.
Role: Vice President, Digital Partnerships & Fintechs (Fintech Enablers) - People Manager
In this highly visible, customer-facing leadership role, you will lead Mastercard's relationships with key fintech enablers, including modern processors, program managers, and BIN sponsors that power the next generation of consumer and small business financial services. You will be responsible for driving strategic growth, strengthening partner engagement, and leading a high-performing team of relationship managers.
Overview
Lead and develop a team of relationship managers, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, continuous learning, and career development.
Build deep, trusted relationships with senior executives and C-suite leaders across strategic fintech enabler partners, serving as a key advisor and advocate for mutual business growth.
Cultivate and expand Mastercard's ecosystem influence by identifying new partnership opportunities and deepening engagement across processors, program managers, BIN sponsors, fintech platforms, and emerging industry participants.
Execute Mastercard's go-to-market strategy across a broad suite of products and services, including Digital First, Cyber & Intelligence, Loyalty, Services, Open Banking, and Fraud solutions, with a focus on driving core growth and market share.
Develop strategic account plans and growth strategies that align partner priorities with Mastercard's business objectives.
Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Franchise, Finance, Services, Legal, and Regional teams to deliver scalable solutions and exceptional customer outcomes.
Identify, structure, and execute complex commercial opportunities, including new product launches, strategic partnerships, and ecosystem expansion initiatives.
Co-innovate with partners and Mastercard product teams to develop differentiated value propositions and bring new solutions to market.
Lead executive-level business reviews, negotiations, and strategic planning discussions while representing Mastercard as a trusted thought leader within the fintech ecosystem.
Develop business cases and commercial strategies supported by financial analysis, ROI modeling, and long-term growth planning.
Negotiate commercial agreements, term sheets, and contracts while balancing customer needs with Mastercard's strategic objectives.
Stay ahead of emerging industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics to shape Mastercard's fintech enabler strategy.
All About You
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience leading strategic partnerships, business development, or account management functions within fintech, payments, banking, processing, or technology sectors.
Demonstrated success managing and developing high-performing teams, including coaching, mentorship, talent development, and succession planning.
Deep understanding of the fintech ecosystem, including modern processors, program managers, sponsor banks, embedded finance platforms, and payment infrastructure providers.
Exceptional relationship-building skills with a demonstrated ability to establish credibility and influence with executive and C-suite stakeholders.
Strong executive presence with outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Experience leading complex commercial negotiations and managing large-scale strategic partnerships.
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect market trends, customer needs, and Mastercard capabilities into actionable growth strategies.
Product, platform, engineering, or technical experience preferred, with the ability to engage effectively with technical stakeholders and translate business needs into scalable solutions.
Highly strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities, financial acumen, and experience developing business cases and growth plans.
Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex problems, and influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Mastercard benefits for interns generally include: 56 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time; jury duty leave; and on-site fitness facilities in some locations.
