Who We Are

Imagine Pediatrics is a tech enabled, pediatrician led medical group reimagining care for children with special health care needs. We deliver 24/7 virtual first and in home medical, behavioral, and social care, working alongside families, providers, and health plans to break down barriers to quality care. We do not replace existing care teams; we enhance them, providing an extra layer of support with compassion, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to children with medical complexity.

What You’ll Do

As Vice President, Business Development, you will independently own and drive deal strategy and execution across a defined book of business, leading senior health plan relationships, contracting, and negotiations. You will serve as a senior leader and force multiplier within the Business Development team.

You will:

  • Own end-to-end origination through contract execution across a defined book of business, focused on Medicaid managed care and spanning commercial insurance, risk-bearing provider organizations, and direct-to-state segments, from initial prospecting through contract execution and handoff to implementation
  • Lead relationship development with senior health plan stakeholders and state Medicaid leadership, serving as the primary executive point of contact for your portfolio
  • Lead value-based care contract negotiations directly with payers across the full scope of the contract
  • Set deal structure and risk modeling strategy across a wide range of value-based care constructs, owning pricing and structure recommendations to the executive team (SVP Business Development, CCO, and President)
  • Shape BD strategy and growth planning, including market prioritization, go-to-market strategy, and expansion opportunities
  • Maintain deep expertise in state Medicaid programs, RFP cycles, and policy trends that impact children with medical complexity or special healthcare needs
  • Mobilize cross-functional leaders across finance, legal, clinical, and implementation teams as deals advance from discovery to go-live
  • Drive executive and board alignment on pipeline, deal strategy, and growth priorities through ELT updates, board materials, and other reporting
  • Represent Imagine Pediatrics externally at industry conferences, with health plan executives, and in state-level engagements as a senior spokesperson for our mission and model

What You Bring & How You Qualify

First and foremost, you’re passionate and committed to reimagining pediatric health care and creating a world where every child with complex medical conditions gets the care and support they deserve. You will need:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare, including health plans, medical groups, providers, or healthcare delivery organizations
  • Proven track record as lead negotiator on value-based care contracts with payers from origination through contract execution, owning deal terms, contracting strategy, and financial analysis with minimal oversight
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead relationships with senior health plan stakeholders and serve as primary point of contact with external plan partner executives; Medicaid managed care experience strongly preferred
  • Deep expertise in value-based care programs, risk arrangements, and Medicaid managed care markets
  • Previous strategy experience in management consulting, banking, or corporate strategy roles, preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and develop direct reports, including people managers
  • Executive presence and the ability to influence at all levels, including C-level stakeholders internally and externally
  • Ability to operate effectively as both a strategic leader and hands-on player/coach in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 40%

The role offers a base salary range of $210,000 - $250,000 in addition to annual bonus incentive, competitive company benefits package and eligibility to participate in an employee equity purchase program (as applicable).
