MicroTech is seeking a highly accomplished Vice President of Federal Business Development & Capture to lead strategic growth initiatives and expand the company’s presence across priority federal markets. This executive will identify, shape, and capture high-value federal opportunities while building strong relationships with key government stakeholders.

Reporting to the CEO and/or COO, the VP will drive opportunity identification, capture strategy, and contract wins across agencies, including HHS, DHS and DOW.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a track record of generating $50M+ in annual federal contract revenue, building strategic pipelines, and leading capture efforts for complex procurements within a fast-moving small business environment.

Responsibilities

Strategic Business Development

  • Identify and qualify strategic opportunities across targeted federal agencies.
  • Develop and manage a $250M+ qualified pipeline.
  • Leverage executive-level relationships with program offices and acquisition leadership.
Capture Leadership
  • Lead capture efforts from early market intelligence through contract award.
  • Develop win themes, competitive positioning, and teaming strategies.
  • Collaborate with proposal, technical, pricing, and contracts teams to deliver winning solutions.
Partnerships & Market Engagement
  • Establish strategic partnerships with leading federal integrators and technology firms.
  • Negotiate teaming agreements aligned with target contract vehicles.
  • Represent MicroTech at industry events and federal customer engagements.
Qualifications
  • 12–15+ years of federal business development and capture experience in GovCon.
  • Demonstrated success generating $50M+ in annual federal contract awards.
  • Experience leading capture efforts for large federal opportunities ($50M–$250M).
  • Established relationships within HHS, DHS, Air Force, Army, or similar agencies.
  • Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes and FAR.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with contract vehicles such as GSA MAS, OASIS/OASIS+, DHS, and DOW IDIQs.
  • Background in IT modernization, AI, cybersecurity, cloud, or advanced analytics.
  • Active Secret or Top-Secret security clearance preferred.
Performance Expectations
  • Maintain a $250M–$500M qualified opportunity pipeline.
  • Deliver $50M+ in annual contract awards.
  • Expand MicroTech’s footprint across targeted federal agencies.
  • Strengthen prime contract positioning through strategic partnerships.

Salary: $154K-$207K plus Bonus Potential
