Primary Duties & Responsibilities

For the Datacenter market vertical:

  • Responsible for all strategic marketing activities 

  • Develop Market Strategy and secure buy-in

  • Monitor and report on key trends and impact on existing business & product roadmap

  • In collaboration with the BUs, develop the product Strategy and roadmap 

  • Drive strategic planning process including for the 5YP, and make recommendations for resource prioritization and allocation (Capex and R&D) 

  • Identify new platform opportunities (2-3+ year view), work with platform teams, develop business case and strategy, secure cross-functional buy-in and drive the launch of programs

  • Facilitate New Platform Project Prioritization and resource allocation process at COHERENT level

  • Establish go-to-market strategies, develop value proposition, develop marketing plan, and work with sales and end customers for push/pull.  Develop relationships with customer's customer and end customers’ planners and decision makers

  • Provide thought leadership, developing and evangelizing platform success stories - internally and externally Serves as the COHERENT External Spokesperson on roadmap & strategy at market, industry, investor events. 

  • Participate directly or indirectly in Standards bodies and industry groups to drive COHERENT agenda

Education & Experience

  • Technical background and education (BS/MS) combined with significant business experience (in Engineering Leadership, Product Management, Marketing, Business Development or Sales roles) and a proven track record of success in these roles.
  • 20 years experience in Datacenter market
  • Strong understanding of the Datacenter market vertical value chain, market and competitor dynamics
  • Industry recognized leader with strong relationships with key decision makers at customer/end customers.
  • Ability to easily and successfully work in a multi-cultural, global team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and complex issues involving external and internal priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism. leadership and competence

  • Exceptional strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to translate Datacenter market trends into product roadmaps, investment priorities, and long-term growth strategies.
  • Strong influence, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills to secure alignment across global business units, executives, customers, and external industry partners.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and market concepts and serve as a credible internal and external spokesperson.

 

Working Conditions

  • Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment, with frequent collaboration across global teams through virtual and in-person meetings.
  • Requires occasional domestic and international travel to meet with customers, attend industry events, participate in standards organizations, and support business activities.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily works in a professional corporate office or hybrid environment with frequent interaction across global business units and functions.
  • May work in customer, manufacturing, laboratory, or industry-event settings while engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
