Video Producer, YouTube – Duolingo

Contract | $2,000–$3,000/week | East Coast Remote

Snowball is looking for a Video Producer to create and execute YouTube formats for Duolingo, the world’s most popular learning platform.

About Our Client

With over half a billion learners worldwide, Duolingo is on a mission to develop the best education in the world and make it universally available. Their products blend learning science, great storytelling, and delightful design to make education accessible and fun.

Duolingo is one of the most recognizable consumer brands in the world, known for its playful personality, culture-driven marketing, and impact on how people learn globally.

The Opportunity

Duolingo is expanding its YouTube presence. As Video Producer, you’ll develop YouTube-first formats that make languages, culture, and learning concepts accessible and compelling. From concept to publish, you’ll own the full production process, ensuring content feels unmistakably Duolingo: smart, warm, and fun.

This role reports directly to Duolingo, with Snowball serving as the creative YouTube partner supporting the channel’s strategic and creative development. You’ll collaborate closely with Snowball’s YouTube growth experts (27M+ subs, 110B+ views) to push creative boundaries, experiment with new formats, and help build one of the most engaging education channels on the platform.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and execute YouTube-first video formats aligned with Duolingo’s mission, voice, and learning philosophy.

  • Translate complex language, culture, and learning concepts into engaging, story-driven narratives.

  • Lead the full YouTube production cycle: research, ideation, scripting, filming, and post-production collaboration.

  • Experiment with long-form formats to position Duolingo as an authority in education and learning science.

  • Collaborate with Duolingo’s brand, social, and learning teams to ensure content accuracy, alignment, and learner impact.

  • Partner with Snowball to analyze YouTube performance data and continuously optimize for reach, retention, and engagement.

What You Bring
  • 5+ years as a video producer, filmmaker, or content creator with a strong storytelling portfolio (required).

  • Experience producing YouTube-optimized edutainment content for a successful YouTube channel.

  • Ability to make technical or nuanced topics relatable, clear, and fun for broad audiences.

  • Highly proactive and comfortable running an end-to-end production pipeline independently.

  • Strong collaborator with experience working with global teams across brand, creative, and marketing. Bonus: Experience working with agencies or external creative partners, especially navigating multi-stakeholder workflows and brand guidelines.

  • Deep knowledge of YouTube trends, best practices, and audience engagement strategies.

  • Bonus: Background in education, learning science, or language-focused content.
