WEX is a global leader in intelligent payment solutions — powering the B2B payment infrastructure behind the world's largest travel platforms, financial institutions, fin-techs, and mid-market enterprises.
Our Corporate Payments business is at a critical point with true global scale, strong growth and accelerating momentum in key businesses. We're looking for a VP of Corporate Payments Product to lead the next chapter of growth — someone who can shape category-defining products, drive clarity in ambiguous situations, and turn a strong foundation into a market-defining platform.
As a key member of the Corporate Payments Sr. Leadership team, you will partner closely with Commercial, Operations, and Technology to own and drive our Corporate Payments product strategy. In this role, you will be accountable for creating an integrated product vision and strategy to drive high-value business outcomes by solving our customers’ major pain points through product innovation and the commercialization of new products. You will manage a team of product leaders and product managers that will manage, define, and deliver the products and customer experience for each of our Corporate Payments products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Customer Obsession & Experience Strategy (~30%): Establish a "North Star" product experience grounded in deep customer empathy and a clear definition of customer problems. As a deeply empathetic leader, you lead customer-centric ideation to uncover pain points and design and deliver experiences that intuitively solve the customers’ problems. You own the E2E experience for all users—customers, partners, and internal teams—across all surfaces and services.
● Strategic Partnership & Value Creation (~30%): Serve as a commercially astute partner who understands how value is captured and sustained. Use persuasiveness and data to build executive alignment and hold the organization together through difficult trade-offs. You maintain
strategic conviction as an orienting force, resisting fragmentation as product complexity grows
● Product Integrity & Outcomes (20%): Manage the portfolio through a holistic, data-driven lens, using customer data and operational signals to drive iterative improvement. You are fluent in regulatory, legal, and risk realities, ensuring design decisions are production-ready, technically
informed, and measurable. You will establish AI-native workflows and manage an AI-augmented team—including prompt-to-code prototyping and design-to-engineering optimization—to accelerate delivery velocity and raise quality across the organization.
● Talent Stewardship & Culture (20%): Build and manage a holistic talent strategy for the future, ensuring the organization has the right competencies to deliver on long-term strategy. You lead and grow a high-performing team of product managers and designers, coaching them to think
and act as product owners fluent in AI-enabled workflows. You cultivate an environment where psychological safety is foundational, empowering teams to assess and flag product risks
A successful candidate in the next 12 - 18 months would deliver the following:
● Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and execute a bold E2E vision for our Corporate Payment product lines supported by rapid experimentation, external competitive assessment, and strategic partnerships.
● Market and Customer Research: Develop and execute a market and customer research strategy that incorporates market trends, the competitive landscape, and customer insights into the product strategy.
● Deliver Business Outcomes: Drive value for our customers and business through clear measurable outcomes that show meaningful progress against and momentum against our product strategy.
● Drive Commercial Mindset: In partnership with key players across WEX, develop and execute strong go-to-market strategies, including pricing, packaging, marketing, and sales enablement to ensure successful product adoption and profitable revenue growth.
● Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a team of product managers through clear prioritization, frequent coaching, and transparent feedback, creating a culture of inclusiveness,
empowerment, results, and trust.
● Build AI-Native Ways of Working: Define standards for design artifacts that translate into buildable outputs—such as tokens, schemas, and prompts—and pioneer the responsible use of AI in regulated environments.
● Experience & Design Leadership: Champion a product-led, experience-first mindset by embedding strong product discovery and design practices into how we build—ensuring customer journeys, UX, and service design are core to strategy, prioritization, and delivery within a
product-centric operating model.
● Foster Cultural Excellence: Cultivate an environment of psychological safety and experimentation, sharing modern delivery practices and systems across WEX Design leadership

Experience you’ll bring:
● 15+ years experience in product management, with 7+ years of experience in Payments or Financial Services
● 10+ years of progressive product leadership experience.
● Proven ability to effectively communicate and influence across a broad set of stakeholders and executive leaders to drive strategic alignment
● Ability to set a bold vision for the reimagined experiences, and develop a strategy to execute and iteratively deliver on the vision.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an extensive use of both quantitative and qualitative data, to drive prioritization and performance.
● Deep customer centricity, with a passion for understanding customer problems and rapidly experimenting to solve them.
● A proven track record of delivering on complex initiatives working across multiple teams and stakeholders, including facilitating alignment with roadmaps and cross-team dependencies.
● Strong leadership and communication, with a style that is collaborative, inspirational and performance-driven.
● Strong coaching and mentorship with a track record of developing talent and building high-performing teams.
● Experience building scalable, shared capabilities.
● Demonstrated success in creating a vision to inspire, prioritizing key deliverables, defining and building roadmaps, and managing internal and external commitments.
