- Acting as Circle's senior accountable leader in Brazil and serving as a statutory director of the local entity.
- Representing Circle externally with regulators, banks, enterprises, exchanges, and key market stakeholders as the face of the company in Brazil.
- Driving USDC growth in Brazil across exchanges, digital-dollar account use cases, payments, treasury, and broader institutional financial flows.
- Building and converting a strong local pipeline across exchanges, banks, fintechs, PSPs, neobanks, payment infrastructure players, and enterprise customers.
- Deepening Circle's position with priority partners and channels that can move share at scale, including exchange, banking, and strategic distribution relationships.
- Helping shape and drive Circle's regulatory and market-entry path in Brazil, in close coordination with Policy, Legal, and Compliance.
- Driving cross-functional execution across business, legal, compliance, policy, product, marketing, and operations to unblock local issues and keep priorities moving.
- Ensuring opportunities across pillars are fully captured without micromanaging the underlying business teams.
- Partnering closely with Commercial and Business Development teams to prioritize accounts, accelerate execution, and shorten time-to-volume.
- Tracking performance rigorously, using data and market insight to refine strategy, improve execution, and grow USDC market share in Brazil over time.
What you'll bring to Circle:
Core Requirements:
- Brazil-based senior leader with 14+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong market reputation and credibility with regulators, especially the Central Bank, and able to meet fit-and-proper requirements.
- Proven experience driving growth, revenue, transaction volume, or market share in fintech, payments, crypto, or financial infrastructure businesses.
- Seasoned operator who can function as the de facto local leader for Circle in Brazil.
- Strong commercial instincts with a bias toward action, execution, and measurable outcomes.
- Experience working cross-functionally across Sales, BD, Product, Marketing, Policy, Legal, Compliance, and technical teams.
- Deep understanding of crypto markets, stablecoins, payments, digital banking, FX, capital markets, or institutional financial flows.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, high-ambiguity environment while maintaining clear accountability for results.
- Strong network and market familiarity across Brazil's banking, payments, fintech, crypto, and broader financial ecosystem.
- Familiarity with generative AI models (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) and prompt development.
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous experience in fintech leadership as a country head, or senior leadership experience in banking, FX, capital markets, or broader financial services.
- Known, trusted, and well-networked across both traditional finance and the digital asset ecosystem.
- Experience in high-growth fintech, blockchain, or payments companies operating in Brazil and Latin America.
- Track record of building or scaling businesses in regulated and fast-evolving markets.
- Experience balancing commercial growth with local regulatory, operational, and ecosystem complexity.
- Strong cultural fluency and experience leading distributed, cross-border work.
- Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS, and GSuite.
