Company Overview

At Zuora, we do Modern Business. We’re helping people subscribe to new ways of doing business that are better for people, companies and ultimately the planet. It’s an approach resulting from the shift to the Subscription Economy that puts customers first by building recurring relationships instead of one-time product sales and focuses on sustainable growth. Through our leading expertise and multi-product suite, we are transforming all industries and working with the world’s most innovative companies to monetize new business models, nurture subscriber relationships and optimize their digital experiences.

The Team & Role

Zuora’s Platform organization is the foundation of our system and the center of innovation driving modern monetization. As Head of Product Management, Platform, you will own the product vision and roadmap for Zuora’s Platform capabilities: Admin, Controls, Data, Integration Hub and Help & Education. This role will provide a unified leadership layer across platform services, user experience, and enablement, ensuring scalability and tighter integration across foundational product systems.

You will lead a global team of product managers responsible for evolving Zuora Platform into the most flexible, scalable, and intelligent monetization engine in the industry. You will partner closely with engineering, design, finance, and go-to-market leaders to translate market trends and customer needs into capabilities that power the world’s leading subscription and usage-based businesses.

This role requires strong strategic thinking, deep understanding of billing and monetization in recurring revenue models, and proven experience managing complex enterprise-grade SaaS products. You will operate as a critical member of the Product leadership team, shaping the strategy and execution that defines Zuora’s next decade of growth.

This is a high-impact role with visibility across the executive team and customer base.

What you’ll do

  • Own the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for Zuora’s platform capabilities, including integrations, extensibility, workflow, developer experience, and AI agent architecture.
  • Lead multiple product domains spanning developer experience, integration hub, application lifecycle management (ALM), sandboxes, workflow automation, extensibility framework, and technical documentation & education.
  • Define and drive a unified platform architecture that enables both Zuora teams and external developers to build, extend, and integrate seamlessly across the ecosystem.
  • Partner closely with Platform Engineering, core Application teams, Architecture, and AI teams to define foundational patterns and platform abstractions that accelerate innovation.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across product lines, ensuring all product teams leverage platform components consistently and securely.
  • Champion developer experience excellence by defining APIs, SDKs, tooling, MCP and self-service onboarding workflows that make it easy to build on Zuora’s platform.
  • Oversee strategy for AI-powered developer and admin assistants (agentic experiences) that simplify platform extensibility and workflow creation.
  • Define and measure KPIs around platform adoption, extensibility utilization, time-to-integration, and developer satisfaction.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of product leaders and managers across multiple domains and geographies.
  • Represent the platform strategy to executives, customers, partners, and analysts; influence the industry narrative around open, extensible quote-to-cash platforms.

Your experience

  • 15+ years in enterprise SaaS product management, with at least 5 years leading platform, developer, or ecosystem products.
  • Proven experience building  and scaling multi-tenant platform architectures and extensibility models (e.g., APIs, events, workflows, plug-in frameworks).
  • Deep understanding of integration platforms (iPaaS), developer ecosystems, and API-led product design.
  • Experience working with AI/ML teams to embed intelligent or agentic capabilities into core platform experiences.
  • Strong collaboration skills with product, engineering and architecture teams to define scalable technical foundations.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple product portfolios or technical domains simultaneously.
  • Strong customer empathy with experience engaging technical audiences - CIOs, CTOs, CPOs, developers, architects, partners, and admins.
  • Excellent storytelling, executive communication, and stakeholder influence across engineering, sales, and customer success.

Nice to haves

  • Background in billing, CPQ, ERP, or financial operations software.
  • Experience building or managing developer platforms in a multi-product enterprise environment (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, Stripe, or Twilio).
  • Familiarity with modern AI frameworks for automation, workflow orchestration, or conversational agent design.
  • Track record of leading developer education, documentation, and community engagement programs.
  • Exposure to governance, compliance, and security standards relevant to extensibility and integrations.
  • Experience in global SaaS companies transitioning from monolithic architectures to modular, API-first, or microservice-based platforms.
