Lead seasonal product concepting and assortment strategy across hard and soft goods. Manage a small design and product development team from concept through production, collaborate with cross-functional partners and vendors, review samples and quality, track sample budgets, and ensure designs align with brand and business goals.
At RH we believe deeply that the "right" people are our greatest asset. We value people with high energy, who possess the ability to energize others. People who are smart, creative and have a point of view. People who see the answer in every problem, versus those who see the problem in every answer. People who are driven, determined and won't take "no" for an answer. We value team players, people who are more concerned with what's right, rather than who's right.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pull together aspirational seasonal concept presentations and “Big Ideas” to present across the organization.
- Design into seasonal concepts and identify assortment opportunities in close collaboration with design associates across the hard goods and soft goods categories and oversee that the execution of the concepts within and across categories is harmonious.

- Own the development process from initial concepts through production approval; Execute and oversee the creation of designs, specifications, and sample comments that are clear and actionable across languages and varying literacy levels.
- Review all product samples and finishes with the PD teams to ensure products across departments are achieving the highest level of quality, and continually striving to elevate the brand’s design and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with cross functional partners in Merchandising, Sourcing, Quality Assurance, Compliance, and Planning to make sure the design plan and business strategy is aligned, deadlines are on track, risks are communicated in advance, and issues that arise are resolved as a team.
- Maintain strong clear communication and partnerships with external vendors and across the organization to keep things moving smoothly throughout the season - including post development deliverables; You are the primary contact for the retouching, photography, sourcebook, and web photography teams.
- Actively track and manage annual sample and sample shipment budgets.
- Be an active problem solver willing to roll up your sleeves to fill in gaps wherever needed.
