About Us

Chorus Innovations is a fast-growing healthcare technology company with an adaptive platform as a service (PaaS) that enables the rapid development of mobile, desktop, text messaging and interactive voice applications. Chorus’ platform currently powers transformative healthcare, biomedical research and community health projects across institutions and public health agencies nationwide. We believe every community should have world-class health technology so they can thrive.

Our mission is to improve the lives of people and communities by democratizing technology development in health and research.

About the Role

Chorus is seeking a VP of Product Management to define, build, and lead our Product Management function through the next stage of our platform evolution and product strategy.

We are looking for a transformative executive who will not only drive our product strategy but will actively shape the culture, talent, and operational rigor of the product organization. The right candidate will define what high quality product management looks like at Chorus, establishing clear ownership, high standards of accountability, and modern product practices. This person will recruit, mentor, and elevate a team of product managers, empowering them to operate with autonomy and clear alignment.

Working closely with Engineering, Design, Clinical Solutions, and Go-To-Market teams, this person will translate market signals into scalable, AI-enabled products while fostering a highly collaborative, cross-functional product culture. Ultimately, this leader will drive Chorus’s transition from custom, project-based delivery toward a scalable, market-ready product organization.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define and lead product strategy across Chorus’s platform, product lines, reusable templates, and application capabilities, aligning them directly with overall company goals. Empower and guide a team of Product Managers to translate this high-level strategy into actionable, high-impact product roadmaps.
  • Establish the frameworks for roadmap development and prioritization, balancing customer needs, Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) fit, market opportunity, business value, engineering feasibility, and delivery commitments. Hold the product team accountable for data-driven prioritization decisions and measurable product outcomes.
  • Establish clear governance and decision-making frameworks to identify which capabilities should become scalable product offerings versus customer-specific configuration, delivery work, or paid custom scope, driving cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Delivery, and Commercial teams.
  • Build clear executive and leadership visibility into roadmap priorities, product readiness, tradeoffs, dependencies, and key decisions, serving as the primary champion and communicator of Chorus's product vision.

Product Management Excellence

  • Define, champion, and codify what highly effective Product Management looks like at Chorus. Establish clear role definitions, performance expectations, and ownership boundaries for the product team, holding individuals accountable to a high standard of execution.
  • Implement standards, templates, and review rhythms (e.g., product reviews) that drive clarity, rigor, and execution speed without creating bureaucratic bottlenecks. Embed a data-informed, user-centric mindset across the product organization. Guide the team in leveraging market research, customer discovery, competitive insights, and UXR to rigorously validate opportunities, defend prioritization rationale, and de-risk core product development.

Team Leadership, Coaching & UXR

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Product Management team. Clarify role definitions, decision rights, and ownership boundaries, ensuring every PM understands what success looks like and how they are measured.
  • Rebuild, stabilize, and champion the User Research (UXR) function. Serve as the strategic leader for UXR, integrating research directly into early-stage product discovery, usability testing, and market validation so it drives core product direction.
  • Cultivate a department culture rooted in ownership, strong product judgment, analytic rigor, curiosity, and continuous improvement.  Foster an environment where team members are empowered to make decisions but are held accountable for product outcomes.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Design, and Clinical Solutions leadership.  Establish shared frameworks to navigate product intent, technical feasibility, UX design, and technical debt early in the lifecycle, ensuring balanced tradeoffs and predictable execution.
  • Serve as the strategic bridge to Commercial, Delivery, and Clinical teams. Establish repeatable channels to ingest market signals, customer commitments, and implementation patterns, translating those inputs into scalable product opportunities rather than custom development. Help reduce organizational ambiguity across product, engineering, design, and delivery teams by clarifying company priorities, cross-functional handoffs, and decision-making authority.

Platform, Productization & Innovation

  • Advance Chorus’s shift toward a more scalable, platform-first product model.
  • Strengthen reusable product templates, configurable capabilities, platform features, analytics, interoperability, and workflow automation.
  • Identify, validate, and commercialize practical and scalable AI-enabled product capabilities that measurably improve customer value, operational efficiency, and sharpen Chorus’s market differentiation.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of product management experience, preferably in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, healthcare technology, public-sector technology, or another complex regulated domain.
  • 5+ years directly leading, managing and coaching Product Managers.
  • Experience building or improving Product Management practices, including roadmap discipline, requirements quality, prioritization, artifacts, operating rhythms, and cross-functional handoffs.
  • Experience leveraging user research, customer discovery, product data, and market validation to shape product strategy and new product development.
  • Strong ability to translate complex workflows, customer needs, and market opportunities into clear product strategy and executable requirements.
  • Experience partnering closely with Engineering and Design in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments.
  • Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to turn ambiguity into clear recommendations, tradeoffs, and decisions.
  • Healthcare, behavioral health, Medicaid, public health, provider, payer, or government experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with low-code/no-code platforms, configurable enterprise products, workflow automation, analytics, interoperability, or AI-enabled products preferred.

Compensation Disclosure

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $240,000 – $260,000 in the Los Angeles market. Actual offers depend on skills, experience, and location, and may include additional components such as performance bonuses, stock options, and benefits.
