We're seeking an experienced VP, Product Marketing to lead our product marketing function and drive Skan AI's market positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy. You'll be responsible for establishing Skan AI as a category leader, building comprehensive product marketing infrastructure, and ensuring our value proposition resonates across every customer segment and use case. This role requires category creation expertise, deep technical fluency in enterprise AI and automation markets, and a proven ability to execute at the pace of a fast-moving AI company scaling into its next phase of growth.
Ideal candidates have 12+ years of product marketing experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles, with proven success in positioning, messaging, analyst relations, and go-to-market execution for enterprise technology companies. You'll work cross-functionally with executive leadership, Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to own Skan AI's market position and drive product marketing excellence.
- Strategic Positioning & Messaging
- Define and own Skan AI's positioning, messaging architecture, and value propositions across all products and solutions
- Develop compelling narratives that differentiate Skan AI's approach and resonate with target buyers
- Craft executive messaging for board presentations, conference keynotes, investor communications, and customer engagements
- Drive competitive strategy and maintain competitive intelligence across the market landscape
- Product Marketing Foundation
- Build and maintain core product marketing assets including persona templates, value propositions, messaging hierarchies, use case libraries, battle cards, and ROI frameworks
- Develop comprehensive sales enablement including pitch decks, demo scripts, objection handling, discovery frameworks, and sales plays
- Collaborate with content marketing to create high-impact assets: whitepapers, solution briefs, data sheets, demo videos, webinars, and customer stories
- Analyst & Industry Relations
- Own analyst strategy and all interactions with key industry analysts (Gartner, Forrester, Everest Group, IDC)
- Lead analyst evaluation processes including positioning strategy, customer reference coordination, and briefing preparation
- Translate analyst insights into actionable sales and marketing assets that strengthen market credibility
- Go-to-Market Execution
- Own end-to-end product launch strategy and execution for new products and capabilities
- Develop industry-specific positioning that translates platform capabilities into vertical value propositions
- Partner with Product and Revenue teams on pricing strategy, packaging evolution, and market expansion
- Build customer marketing programs including reference development, case studies, and advocacy cultivation
- Market Intelligence & Customer Insight
- Lead market research to validate opportunities, understand buyer personas, and inform product strategy
- Establish systematic voice-of-customer programs through interviews, win/loss analysis, and customer feedback loops
- Maintain competitive intelligence on market trends, competitor moves, messaging, and positioning
- Synthesize insights to inform product roadmap and go-to-market priorities
- Cross-Functional Leadership & Team Building
- Present regularly to executive leadership and the board on product marketing strategy, market dynamics, and business outcomes
- Partner with Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment and execution excellence
- Build and scale the product marketing function through hiring, development, and process optimization
- Foster a culture of customer obsession, strategic thinking, and data-driven decision making
- Qualifications & Skills
- 12+ years of product marketing experience in enterprise AI or complex enterprise technology platforms, including at least 5 years in leadership roles
- Proven track record in positioning, messaging, and go-to-market execution for enterprise technology companies
- Deep expertise in enterprise sales cycles with Global 2000 companies
- Demonstrated success in analyst relations, with measurable improvements in positioning and market perception
- Strong technical fluency, with the ability to understand complex enterprise technology and translate it into business value
- Expert-level proficiency developing go-to-market strategies, positioning frameworks, and messaging architectures
- Outstanding executive communication skills, with experience presenting to C-suite, boards, and large audiences
- Exceptional writing ability across strategic documents, sales enablement, web copy, and thought leadership
- Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams
- Equally comfortable leading a board presentation and rewriting a sales deck at 9pm before a big demo
- BA/BS degree; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred

- Background in product marketing during high-growth or market inflection phases
- Established relationships with industry analysts (Gartner, Forrester, Everest, HFS, etc.)

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $220,000–$240,000, plus an annual performance bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, including skills, experience, qualifications, and work location.
