Job Summary

Responsible for driving growth and profitability through trade expansion in a specific area, such as MEP, Waterproofing, or Geotextiles.  Responsible for strategic planning, collaboration with cross-functional teams, market penetration, and relationship building to ensure successful trade expansion efforts. If selected for this position, the company will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. A requirement of this position is an acceptable MVR report.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Develops, tracks, and adjusts annual financial and non-financial goals and objectives to support growth of trade expansion in the region (MEP, Waterproofing, and Geotextiles - Civil/Sitework products).

  • Collaborates with the field and functional teams (Sales, Category, Purchasing, Marketing) to ensure the right inventory and supplier programs are in place to drive results. Reviews inventory levels of trade expansion products within regional branch locations and provides guidance to Branch Managers that align with the goals of expanding our customer support of aligned trades.

  • Drives sales and ensures profitability of trade expansion in the region for engineered products (MEP, Waterproofing, and Geotextiles - Civil/Sitework products).

  • Manages support roles (Technical Sales Consultants) in the region. Develops and manages the team to advance our trade expansion in aligned trades. Oversees and holds the field accountable to the trade expansion metrics.

  • Creates and implements plans to penetrate new markets and grow the customer base. Assists with daily promotion/marketing functions and key project strategies.

  • Establishes partnerships with key stakeholders at industry associations to strengthen White Cap’s position in the market. Builds and nurtures relationships with contractors and suppliers to secure new business opportunities.

  • Monitors and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), including revenue growth, market share, and customer satisfaction to leadership and key executives. Offers recommendations for improvement.

  • Oversees project execution for major trade expansion projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, deadlines, and budget requirements.

  • Coordinates with Category Management to execute technical sales & promotion commitments in White Cap/Vendor contracts related to trade expansion.

  • Coordinates product training for associates in the region as needed.

Nature and Scope

  • Solutions require analysis and investigation.

  • Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.

  • Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer 10+ years of detailed industry experience with a detailed emphasis in MEP, Waterproofing, or Geotextiles trades.

  • Prefer Technical expertise, strong project management skills, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

$142,100.00-$237,500.00 Annual

Washington law requires the posting of the salary range for advertised jobs.  This range is determined based on market data and internal pay practices to establish a minimum and maximum value for a job.  Individual base pay is determined based on a variety of elements including experience, skills, internal equity and other factors.
