Lead and deliver Workday initiatives, managing project execution, coordination, risk management, and stakeholder communication for successful implementations and enhancements.
We are seeking an experienced Workday Project Manager to lead and deliver Workday initiatives across the organization. This role will be responsible for end-to-end project execution, including planning, coordination, risk management, and stakeholder communication, ensuring Workday programs are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
The ideal candidate has strong experience managing Workday implementations, enhancements, or upgrades in complex enterprise environments and is comfortable working with distributed, cross-functional teams in a remote setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Workday projects from initiation through delivery, including implementations, enhancements, integrations, and upgrades.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, IT, Workday partners, and vendors to ensure successful delivery.
- Facilitate project governance, status reporting, and executive-level communication.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and resource constraints.
- Ensure alignment with Workday best practices, compliance, and organizational standards.
- Oversee testing, cutover planning, deployment, and post-go-live support activities.
- Support change management, training coordination, and user adoption initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager delivering enterprise technology or SaaS projects.
- Strong hands-on experience managing Workday projects, including at least one full lifecycle implementation or major upgrade.
- Solid understanding of Workday modules such as HCM, Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Financials, or Integrations.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional, global teams in a remote environment.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification.
- Experience working with Workday implementation partners or system integrators.
- Familiarity with Workday integrations (EIBs, Studio, third-party systems).
- Experience managing long-term contract engagements.
