WorkForce Software Functional Implementation Consultant
Next Generation, Inc., an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking a motivated WorkForce Software Functional Implementation Consultant to support workforce management implementation projects for enterprise clients. In this role, you will work closely with clients and project teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, assist with system configuration, and help deliver workforce management solutions using the WorkForce Software platform.
This position is ideal for professionals with some previous experience in software implementations, HR technology, workforce management, payroll, or related business systems who are looking to grow their consulting and functional expertise. You will collaborate with senior consultants and project stakeholders throughout all phases of the implementation lifecycle to help ensure successful project outcomes.
Job Responsibilities- Assist in gathering and documenting client business requirements related to workforce management processes.
- Support the analysis of current business processes and help identify opportunities for improvement through WorkForce Software solutions.
- Participate in client workshops, discovery sessions, and project meetings to understand customer needs and objectives.
- Configure and test WorkForce Software functionality under the guidance of senior consultants and project leads.
- Help translate business requirements into functional system configurations and documentation.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), issue resolution, and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with technical teams, project managers, and client stakeholders throughout the implementation process.
- Provide end-user training and assist with knowledge transfer activities.
- Maintain project documentation, including requirements, configuration decisions, testing results, and process flows.
- Develop a strong understanding of workforce management, timekeeping, scheduling, attendance, and related HCM processes.
Job Requirements
- Approximately 2-4 years of experience in implementation and/or support for the WorkForce Software platform.
- Experience gathering business requirements, documenting processes, or supporting system implementation projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Understanding of software implementation methodologies and project lifecycle concepts.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Willingness to travel if needed to Chicago, based on client and project needs.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; equivalent experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Scheduling, or Workforce Management functions.
- Experience supporting software testing, user training, or system deployment activities.
- Understanding of Agile or Waterfall project methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and business processes quickly.
- Experience working directly with clients, end users, or business stakeholders.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
