About Us

Rho is the modern banking platform built for the AI era. Startups and growth-stage companies can open accounts in minutes, issue cards, manage expenses, pay bills, and close the books – all in one connected platform backed by real human support.

About the Role

Rho is hiring a Workplace Generalist in San Francisco to own a world-class experience for everyone who walks through our doors. As an in-office company, we take our spaces seriously. Our workplaces are environments that foster connection, collaboration, and higher-quality work — and this role is how critical to making that a reality every day.

What You'll Do

  • Own SF’s workplace programming calendar end-to-end — events, activations, community moments. Concept through execution. Logistics and budget.

  • Partner with People E&E on space planning, sublease transitions, and new-market buildouts. Localize Rho’s workplace standard for SF; stay on the real estate roadmap.

  • Be SF’s point of contact for workplace and space. Build trust across every department. Close gaps before they become tickets.

  • Share what you learn here as Rho stands up new offices. Your fingerprints should show up in the next city.

  • Walk the office and monitor supplies, equipment, cleanliness.

  • Prioritize every day. Triage incoming work, protect the team from noise, and set the order of operations.

  • Build the system behind the work — tracking, docs, handoffs — so workplace is visible and doesn’t live in one person’s head.

  • Own the vendor roster across cleaning, maintenance, catering, and security. Source and manage vendor ops.

  • Manage inventory and procurement so our offices stay fully stocked.

  • Own the first-day and last-day experience in SF, including access provisioning.

  • Treat AI as a force multiplier. Use it every day on writing, research, planning, and ops — then spend the time you save on taste and judgment.

  • Track what’s working (budget-to-actual, vendor performance, programming quality) and use it to raise the standard — and to change how the work gets done.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • 1–3 years in events, hospitality, workplace, or operations.

  • Sharp taste. You notice what’s off in a room and you can’t leave it unsolved.

  • You’re willing to do the unglamorous work — and impatient enough to build it into something better.

  • Discretion and professionalism. You’ll be in rooms with visitors, executives, and sensitive work.

  • Strong time management, precision, and a bias toward saying the thing early.

  • You build systems. Comfortable in Jira, Slack, and Notion — and quick to adopt better tooling when the work demands it.

  • You already use AI to get more done. You default to it as leverage, not a novelty.

  • Vendor management, negotiation, or budget oversight is a plus.

  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

  • Able to lift and move boxes.

Our people are our most valuable asset. The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000. In addition to base pay, Rho offers equity, healthcare benefits and paid time off.
