About Broccoli 🥦

Our mission is to bring intelligence and reliability to real-world operations — starting with home service businesses.

We see operations as a systems problem, not a staffing problem. Answering customers, scheduling appointments, following up consistently — these require judgment, memory, and accountability. Not more headcount. As AI makes demos easier to fake, reliability becomes the only real differentiator. Broccoli helps home service companies run their front office with AI that takes action, remembers context, and delivers outcomes you can trust.

In 2025, we scaled revenue 20× to multi-million dollars, grew from 5 to 20 people, and raised a $25M Series A led by Khosla Ventures with participation from Y Combinator.

A few things worth knowing:

  • Our COO was our first customer — a plumbing company CEO who helped shape Broccoli from day one.

  • Our customers collectively do $15B+ in annual revenue, and Broccoli sits directly in the flow of how that revenue gets captured.

  • We've booked 500K+ real, verified appointments for our customers.

  • Every engineer spends time onsite with customers — listening to live calls, seeing real-world edge cases firsthand.

What You'll Do

We're looking for a writer who can shape how Broccoli communicates — to customers, to the industry, to the world. You'll own written content across formats, work closely with the team, and help build a voice that stands out in a noisy space.

  • Write across formats: newsletters, blog posts, social, case studies, long-form features, and launch announcements, all in Broccoli's voice.

  • Research and develop thought leadership on AI and the home services industry.

  • Edit work from across the company sharpen it without stripping out the person who wrote it.

  • Partner with Marketing and Comms on campaigns, events, and strategic initiatives.

  • Experiment with new formats — founder spotlights, interview series, data-driven reports — and kill what doesn't work.

  • Help keep our editorial standards and processes sharp as we grow.

What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years writing in a high-quality environment: journalism, editorial, marketing, or tech.

  • A portfolio with range, you can write long and short, technical and human.

  • You make complex ideas land simply. That's non-negotiable.

  • Experience working with executives or subject-matter experts to develop content.

  • Sharp editing instincts. You improve other people's writing without erasing them.

  • Genuine curiosity about technology, startups, and how industries change.

  • Strong project management, you juggle priorities without dropping things.

  • Based in San Francisco, in-person five days a week.

Bonus: familiarity with AI tools, or knowledge of the home services industry.

Why Join Us

You'll be embedded in a fast-moving company at a real inflection point — with direct access to founders, customers, and a product that's changing how an entire industry operates. The team is energetic, the work is varied, and there's genuine room to grow. You'll travel, build real relationships, and create content that actually matters.

Broccoli is an equal-opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practice laws.
