About the team

The AI Startups team is focused on one of Stripe’s most strategic growth areas: enabling the monetization and scaling of AI-native and AI-enabled businesses. We are in a unique position to partner with the most ambitious AI companies at the forefront of artificial intelligence. Our team collaborates across infrastructure, foundational models, agents, and applications to support these companies in their growth and global commercialization using Stripe’s comprehensive financial stack.

What you’ll doResponsibilities
  • Own contract renewals and lead commercial negotiations to increase revenue and market share among existing customers.
  • Develop and implement sales cycle strategies to drive product adoption, new sales, and client retention at scale.
  • Address complex client needs by collaborating with product, sales, risk, and operations teams to enhance our offerings.
  • Build and refine the go-to-market playbook for AI monetization and usage-based billing (UBB), including segmentation, messaging, sales strategy, and pipeline generation.
  • Engage with AI founders and industry influencers to position Stripe as the preferred infrastructure for monetizing AI.
  • Represent Stripe in market-facing activities (e.g., hackathons, webinars, events) to elevate our presence in the AI and billing ecosystem.
Who you are

We’re looking for a well-rounded strategic seller who can build strong relationships with Stripe’s clients and manage high velocity deal cycles. If you’re hungry, smart, persistent, and a great teammate, we want to hear from you!

Minimum requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a client-facing/sales role
  • Ability to understand complex technical ecosystems and build great relationships with technical customers
  • Ability to drive and close upsell opportunities for additional Stripe products in long-term, consultative engagements
  • Analytical ability to manage complex pricing and cost considerations
  • Experience managing projects with input from cross-functional teams
  • A knack for working well with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Ability and motivation to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
Preferred qualifications
  • Prior experience in a sales and/or customer-facing role at a high growth technology company
  • Experience with Excel and SQL, or a willingness to learn
