About August Health

At August Health, our mission is to empower the essential work of caring for our elders.

We achieve this by providing a modern operating platform and electronic health record (EHR) that enables senior living operators to deliver high-quality care with confidence.

Caregivers are the heart of senior living communities, embodying care, compassion, and well-being. Yet, they face increasing challenges—higher resident acuity, complex workflows, and staffing shortages. At August Health, we build tools that simplify their tasks, eliminate inefficiencies, and provide the insights they need to focus on what truly matters—caring for residents.

At August, we strive to live our values each day, in every interaction with our customers and with each other.

  • Be responsible – leave things better than you found them

  • Take ownership – be decisive and take action

  • Be ambitious – build something great

  • Keep an open mindset – communicate candidly and welcome new ideas

  • Be humble – celebrate each others’ successes and learn from our mistakes

  • Stay positive – assume best intent

About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our growing Go-To-Market team and own the commercial relationships with a portfolio of existing customers. You’ll drive retention, renewals, and expansion by building strong executive relationships, understanding customer priorities, and turning demonstrated value into long-term growth.
This role requires a strong seller and strategic account partner who can identify opportunities, build compelling business cases, and lead commercial conversations from discovery through negotiation and close. You’ll work closely with Customer Success, Sales, Product, and Implementation to align account strategy with customer outcomes, while helping strengthen our Account Management processes as we scale.

What You'll Do

  • Own account strategy, renewals, and expansion for a portfolio of enterprise customers.

  • Build relationships with executive sponsors and key decision-makers, understanding their business priorities, purchasing processes, and growth plans.

  • Identify and close expansion opportunities across additional communities, products, and use cases.

  • Lead commercial discovery, business cases, proposals, pricing discussions, negotiations, and contract execution.

  • Develop proactive account plans that map stakeholders, prioritize opportunities, and establish clear next steps for retention and growth.

  • Partner with Customer Success to translate adoption, outcomes, and customer insights into compelling value stories and expansion recommendations.

  • Lead executive business reviews that connect customer results to strategic priorities and commercial next steps.

  • Maintain accurate account records, opportunity pipelines, and renewal and expansion forecasts.

  • Help improve account planning, commercial handoffs, reporting, and repeatable renewal and expansion processes.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise software account management or a comparable commercial role, with direct responsibility for renewals and expansion. Experience in senior living or healthcare is a plus.

  • Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding revenue targets through upselling, cross-selling, and renewal execution.

  • Strong consultative selling skills, including discovery, value-based proposals, negotiation, and closing.

  • Proven ability to build executive relationships and navigate complex organizations with multiple stakeholders.

  • Ability to turn customer outcomes and data into clear business cases that support investment decisions.

  • Strong organization and follow-through, with experience managing account plans, pipelines, and forecasts.

  • Experience improving account management processes, playbooks, or reporting as a team scales.

  • Sound judgment and initiative, with the ability to prioritize competing needs and make decisions in a dynamic startup environment.

  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative approach to working across teams.

  • Willingness to travel 25%–50%.

About our team

Our team brings together deep expertise in technology, healthcare, and company-building. We’ve led teams at Apple, Google, Landmark Health, and Adobe, co-founded and exited multiple companies, shipped products used by hundreds of millions of users, and managed clinical teams caring for thousands of patients.

Backed by top-tier Silicon Valley investors, we are partnering with some of the largest senior care organizations in the U.S. to transform the future of senior living.

We offer market-competitive compensation based on experience and ability, including significant equity option grants. Our benefits prioritize your well-being with 100% company-paid premiums for health, dental, and vision coverage, along with company contributions to your HSA. We help you plan for the future with a 2% 401(k) match, and support your physical and mental health through services like Rightway Health Advocacy and Spring Health Mental Wellness. Beyond traditional benefits, we offer a flexible time off policy, 100% paid family leave, and all-expenses-paid, in-person company offsites twice a year.
