SRI has an immediate need for an Associate Contracts Officer to join our dynamic team of contract professionals.  As part of SRI’s Contracts team, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in government contract management/administration while supporting SRI’s team of engineers and scientists as they develop unique solutions that make the world safer, healthier, and more productive.


The position will be able to work remotely.

Responsibilities
  • Support grants, contracts, and other agreement types that have a low level of complexity.
  • Work with project/program, sales and service teams as well as the legal department to structure contracts.
  • Analyze contracts and solicitations to ensure compliance with company policy, government requirements and specifications and other requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of government contract practices, statutes and regulations and SRI internal policies and procedures.
  • Serve as primary business point of contact for communications with vendors, customers, and/or partners.
  • Conduct proposal preparation, pre-contract data collection, and administration of government contracts.
  • Draft and review various agreements such as nondisclosure agreements and teaming agreements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors in Business or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Candidates must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills - must have the ability to interact effectively orally and in writing with all levels of in-house and customer staff. 
  • Effective interpersonal skills, problem solving ability
  • Must be able to prioritize workload using good judgment and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be detail-oriented and well organized
  • Must be able to work reasonably independently, exercise good judgment, and respond quickly to a variety of in-house and customer requests
  • Ability to travel to other SRI or customer sites as needed (minimal travel is anticipated)
  • Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP systems used by government contractors to store and access contract-related information is desirable

The salary range is: $58,360-$83,150. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
