Job Description

Cresset is seeking an Associate, Investment Analyst to join our San Francisco-based Wealth Advisory Team. This role is designed for someone who thrives on problem-solving, analytical thinking, and technical depth, and who can support both Wealth Advisors and Client Service Associates in delivering exceptional client outcomes. We are looking for a candidate with 2-4 years of experience in an analytical and/or technical role, with a strong educational background that demonstrates intellectual rigor and quantitative ability. The ideal hire will be a go-to resource for data-driven insights, with the ability to break down complex problems, work confidently in spreadsheets, AI and other tools, and learn new systems quickly. While the focus is technical, effective communication and collaboration skills are essential. Note: This position does not require a Series 65 license, but it is strongly recommended. Regardless, candidates must demonstrate strong investment acumen and a desire to build toward client advisory capabilities over time.

Who you would be working with:

The team at Cresset is a San Francisco-based wealth advisory group that delivers a full-service family office experience to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. Led by two Managing Directors, the five-person team brings decades of experience and manages approximately $1.2 billion in client assets across 50 relationships. They take a deeply integrated, multi-generational approach to wealth management, providing comprehensive family office services that combine institutional-level resources with a high-touch, boutique experience.

At the core of the team’s approach is a holistic, goals-based wealth strategy that coordinates all aspects of a client’s financial life. The team acts as a family’s personal CFO, integrating investment management, tax planning, estate structuring, philanthropy, family governance, risk management and liquidity event preparation. They collaborate closely with clients' attorneys, accountants, and trustees to develop cohesive, long-term strategies that preserve and grow wealth across generations.

Beyond investment management, the team provides family education, succession planning, and governance solutions to help younger generations prepare for responsible wealth stewardship. Their access to private investments, lending solutions, and complex financial structures makes them a trusted partner for entrepreneurs, financial principals, executives and multi-generational families seeking an integrated, seamless, and sophisticated wealth management experience.
