KLA has manufacturing sites worldwide. The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation and Quality, builds our leading-edge technology. GOPS partners with KLA's global supply base and design engineering teams to develop new products, working continuously to build better, faster and more cost-efficient solutions.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.


This position is likely to be filled as a day shift role, but flexibility for swing shift (1:00 PM – 10:00 PM) may be required.


You will work inside the GCMS laboratory to quantify the cleanliness level of KLA equipment components. Key responsibilities include:


  • Follow instructions from MDE chemists while proactively building strong relationships with internal customers.
  • Perform hands-on operation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of GCMS instruments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Independently prepare samples, calibrate instruments, execute analytical testing, interpret data, and deliver accurate, timely results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Separate, identify, and quantify impurities and target compounds.
  • Set up and conduct materials outgassing and experimental work, including developing procedures, executing experiments, analyzing data, and maintaining detailed documentation.
  • Manage laboratory inventories, including reagents, gas cylinders, and consumables.
  • Clean, package, and ship sampling kits to customers for sample collection.
  • Support flexible work schedules to accommodate manufacturing sample turnaround requirements and business priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical field.
  • Proven hands-on laboratory and technical experience with analytical instruments, laboratory equipment, experimental setups, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, data analysis, and a strong mechanical aptitude for working with hardware and test systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, schematics, and specifications, and apply mathematics, handbook formulas, and precision testing and measuring techniques to solve practical engineering and laboratory problems.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
     

Minimum Qualifications

4 years of relevant experience. Or 2 years of experience and an Associate's degree.

Total Rewards

Base Pay Range: $28.85 - $42.00 Per Hour Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA
