About the company

Our client is a fast-growing technology company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Build backend services and machine learning infrastructure that support autonomous software agents, data workflows and externally facing interfaces. You will tackle open-ended technical challenges with a high degree of independence, working in person with a small early team.

What you'll do

- Build agent runtime components, including memory and iterative self-improvement mechanisms.

- Create automated quality-measurement pipelines and artificial data creation workflows.

- Develop vector search and ranking infrastructure able to handle heavy traffic.

- Build web data acquisition systems that gather large volumes of imagery and other visual content.

- Stand up model hosting and the service endpoints that customers rely on.

- Perform security assessments and map potential vulnerabilities.

- Develop internal tooling and platform foundations that keep everything dependable and quick.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- Hands-on background with similarity search and indexing systems for image, video or other creative content.

- Proven record of shipping AI-centered products, such as agents or model hosting, at a company with demanding engineering standards.

- Experience building pipelines that produce, gather or label datasets used to train models.

- Strong Python skills plus experience with cloud platforms and continuous integration and delivery.

- A degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.

- Fluent English.

- Comfort with uncertainty and the ability to define and resolve loosely specified problems without close direction.

- Firm views on code quality, a preference for simple and clear designs, and real curiosity about making subjective qualities measurable.

Bonus points

- Familiarity with large-scale web data collection.

- Time spent at design software or data indexing companies.

- Experience designing pipelines for artificial data and model assessment.

- Previous work at an early-stage startup.

- Public code contributions or self-driven AI side projects.
