This role will form an integral part of our Global Excellence Centre (GEC) – Arcadis’ centralized and fully integrated project delivery group. Our GEC is made up of more than 3,000 talented individuals working in offices across Romania, India and Philippines, providing Capability, Capacity and a Competitive Advantage across a wide array of unique projects and services, in collaboration with our global businesses.
The MEPF Discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) in the GECs is comprised of cross-functional teams, that contribute to the development of innovative MEPF solutions that optimize energy efficiency, sustainability, and occupant comfort. Our ability to effectively manage projects, assess client needs, and provide technical guidance is crucial in delivering successful outcomes, using the most innovative way of doing computational design.
Role accountabilities:
Your role will include, but is not limited to:
- Ensuring conformity with the BIM Execution Plan, the ARCADIS standard and international BIM standards.
- Participating in creating or adjusting the BIM Execution Plan, alongside BIM Manager and other BIM Coordinators to align the ARCADIS standard and international BIM standards.
- Verifying & guaranteeing the agreed upon quality level for all defined aspects (as well geometry as information as documentation).
- Combining aspect models into 1 federated model for clash detection and coordination according to imposed processes and work methods.
- Initiating models and guiding BIM modellers within projects.
- Generation of graphical or alphanumerical output from the models.
- Detecting possible improvements within the BIM process and project approach & implementing them.
- Analyzing and identifying client needs in terms of BIM scope of works and contractual terms.
- Monitoring, follow-up and steering of the BIM process within projects and optimize workflows where possible.
- Coaching and guiding colleagues in their BIM process and more specifically within effective projects.
- Promoting BIM within ARCADIS & being part of the digital communities.Actively searching for and evaluating new BIM tooling on the market & implementing this in our project approach.
Qualifications
Mandatory:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and Building Services or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the MEP field.
- Good knowledge of Revit including family creation, modeling, parameters, scheduling, etc.
- Good knowledge of Navisworks Manager, IFC viewer software's, etc.
- Good knowledge of CDE platforms, especially ACC and BIM360.
- Good understanding of BIM ISO 19650.
- Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.
- Eager to learn new capabilities and skills (automation and digitalization).
- Basic understanding of architecture and structure;
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of other software used in the industry and how they interact.
- Good knowledge of Dynamo.
- Knowledge for BimTrack, Solibri or other software used in model review.
- Basic French Language knowledge.
