Who We Are

Our Data, Digital, and Analytics  team is dedicated to solving complex healthcare challenges and improving patient outcomes. Data, Digital and Analytics empowers business partners across Commercial, Medical, and Government Affairs (CMG) to make impactful decisions by leveraging data, analytics, business products, and AI/ML to enable fast, targeted actions in rapidly evolving business contexts.

You will work as a trusted, objective advisor and expert, recommending critical decisions and actions to be taken with credibility and a focus on driving measurable impact. You will be part of a thriving culture built on collaboration and innovation.

The Opportunity

This role is part of the CRM Product Suite within Data, Digital & Analytics (DDA), which sits in Genentech’s Commercial, Medical, and Government Affairs (CMG) organization. The Product Suite builds scalable digital products that enable faster, higher-impact decisions across CMG.

As the Business Product Manager for Territory and Roster Management products, you will own product strategy, business value delivery, roadmapping, execution, and operational oversight. You will ensure our products optimize territory assignments, roster management, and talent flow insights for key stakeholders, including CE, FMT, and CPO leaders, as well as Administrative Business Partners.

Operating at the intersection of business strategy and product management, you will serve as the strategic bridge between business stakeholders and engineering execution. Because you will lead across a cross-functional matrix team, the ability to influence without authority, project manage effectively, and drive operational excellence is critical.

While technical build and software engineering are executed by our Roche Digital Technology team, this role owns business strategy and product requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

Product Strategy & Roadmap Execution

  • Partner with the CRM Suite Business Product Owner to define and execute the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for Territory and Roster Management products.
  • Lead the end-to-end strategy of product solutions that deliver a national/team level overview of talent placement, empowering executive stakeholders to make data-driven, strategic talent flow and workforce planning decisions.
  • Translate business needs into actionable technical requirements, collaborating closely with Technical Product Managers to drive continuous territory and roster management product evolution.
  • Prioritize new enhancements required to support downstream product needs

Operational Governance & Data Stewardship

  • Lead quarterly territory alignment and roster member talent flow health reviews with stakeholders.
  • Oversee datasets related to territory alignment and roster management, ensuring data quality, governance, and seamless upstream/downstream integrations.
  • Develop ad-hoc reporting to support stakeholder decision-making.

Execution, Adoption & Change Management

  • Lead business process design and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to guarantee high quality during feature rollouts.
  • Establish change management and enablement strategies to maximize user adoption and engagement across CMG.
  • Drive cross-functional consensus and actively advocate for the product suite’s strategic value proposition to executive stakeholders.

Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience in: Business, Information Systems, Analytics or related field
  • 5+ years of  product management expertise: Proven experience in a Product Manager or Product Owner role, successfully guiding an analytical or digital product through its full lifecycle (from ideation to launch, scaling and operations).
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or highly regulated industry environments, leading enterprise life sciences CRM platforms and Territory Design  (e.g., Veeva Vault CRM, Salesforce).
  • Experience developing and executing product enablement, training, communications, adoption, or organizational change programs.
  • Experience defining or measuring product adoption, user engagement, operational efficiency, and business-value KPIs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate user feedback, product data, and operational insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience and understanding of application development methodology - including Agile and Waterfall approaches, functional requirements, process modeling/re-engineering, use case development, user acceptance testing, organizational change management, and large-scale system implementations
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and other Agile tools
