The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Help identify and build new litigation matters at the pre-filing stage, blending legal judgment, fact-finding and technology-assisted research. Partner with analysts, financial specialists and investigators to decide which opportunities are strong enough to put forward.

What you'll do

- Screen possible claims by studying company reports, regulatory documents, market trading behavior and financial information.

- Run thorough fact-finding efforts, drawing on publicly available material and conversations with people who previously worked at the companies in question.

- Apply AI and analytics tools to sift through large volumes of information and surface trends that sharpen the assessment of each matter.

- Write internal case memos, damages estimates and concise client summaries.

- Collaborate with monitoring, analytics, financial and investigative colleagues to pressure-test legal theories.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- About 5 years of securities litigation practice, with hands-on courtroom or case experience to gauge the strength of a matter (4 years may be considered for outstanding candidates).

- A background at a well-regarded law firm, whether on the plaintiff side or the defense side of securities work.

- A JD from an accredited law school; a top-ranked school is preferred but flexible when experience and firm background are strong.

- The skill to interpret public company reporting and market data in order to spot potential fraud.

- Comfort using AI or analytics-based tools in legal research or when working with big datasets.

- An inquisitive, inventive and analytical mindset that goes beyond routine process.

- A sincere desire to do plaintiff-side work for institutional clients.

- A steady employment history.

- Residence in San Francisco or Boston, and the ability to be in the office three set days each week.

Bonus points

- Prior exposure to early-stage case development rather than only active litigation.

- Understanding of damages and causation concepts used in investor claims.

- Defense-side attorneys excited to switch to plaintiff-side work are strongly encouraged to apply.
