About the role

We’re looking for a General Liability Claims Adjuster who is excited about a unique opportunity to help build modern commercial insurance from the ground up!

In this role, you will play a critical role in driving Vega’s world-class claims organization by investigating, evaluating, and settling complex commercial general liability claims. You will manage claims involving third-party bodily injury, property damage, and personal injury from initial notice through final resolution for our insureds and claimants.

We’re a distributed team with offices located in New York, NY and Atlanta, GA. This role is a hybrid position based out of our Atlanta office (Buckhead).

What you’ll do

  • Investigate & Evaluate Liability: Conduct thorough coverage investigations, analyze premises and product liability exposure, interview involved parties, and establish accurate liability assessments.

  • Manage Claims Settlements: Own the end-to-end negotiation and resolution of third-party bodily injury and property damage claims, ensuring fair, timely settlements within authority limits.

  • Provide Expert Claims Guidance: Serve as the primary point of contact for insureds, third-party claimants, defense counsel, and brokers, offering clear and empathetic updates throughout the claims lifecycle.

  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain detailed claim files, draft reservation of rights letters, prepare comprehensive narrative reports, and ensure compliance with state fair claims settlement practices.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with underwriting, legal teams, external defense counsel, and third-party administrators (TPAs) to manage litigation strategy, reserve accuracy, and overall claims cycle time.

About You

  • 4+ years of experience in claims adjusting, with direct experience handling commercial general liability (GL) bodily injury and property damage claims.

  • Active Adjuster License required.

  • Strong background in Commercial Lines General Liability

  • Proficiency with modern claims management software (e.g., Guidewire, Casualty Navigator) and medical/property evaluation tools.

  • Strong negotiation, policy interpretation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience in addition to the experience noted above.
