Paradigm is seeking a Claims Contract Attorney to support our client, a global leader in the legal services industry. This opportunity is designed for an attorney who can handle complex claims and legal matters while demonstrating the leadership skills needed to take on increasing responsibility.
Leadership and Advancement Opportunity
This role provides a potential path into increasingly responsible leadership positions based on performance, business needs, and demonstrated leadership ability.
Lead: Potential progression within approximately 3–6 months. Leads may oversee approximately 5–10 cases and around five team members while handling tactical case issues, escalations, and complex claimant matters.
Supervisor: Potential progression within approximately 6–12 months. Supervisors may oversee approximately 10–20 cases, 20–30 team members, and multiple Leads, with greater responsibility for team performance, productivity, escalations, employee development, and client communication.

As a Claims Contract Attorney you will:
- Review and analyze claim forms, supporting documentation, and related materials in product liability, class action, and mass tort matters.
- Evaluate claim information for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established criteria and project requirements.
- Identify potential issues, discrepancies, or missing information requiring additional review or follow-up.
- Prepare clear, detailed, and professional written responses to inquiries from claimants and counsel.
- Respond to telephone inquiries from claimants and attorneys, explaining claim-related information and requirements clearly and professionally.
- Apply legal judgment, critical thinking, and issue-spotting skills when reviewing claims and resolving questions.
- Follow established protocols and procedures while incorporating guidance from project team members.
- Work collaboratively with attorneys, project managers, and other team members to address issues and keep matters moving efficiently.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, responsiveness, and professionalism.
- Provide exceptional service to both internal and external clients.
Requirements
Our skills and experience wish list includes:
- JD from an accredited U.S. law school.
- Active license in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- At least 1 year of leadership experience.
- Experience leading attorneys, legal professionals, project teams, or other professional teams.
- Experience managing complex projects, cases, litigation, or other evolving matters from start to completion.
- Experience with complex litigation, class actions, mass torts, securities matters, product liability, claims administration, or similar legal work.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, issue-spotting, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to delegate work effectively.
- Ability to develop, train, and support team members.
- Confidence making decisions in ambiguous situations and willingness to seek assistance when appropriate.
- Strong client-service skills and the ability to communicate professionally with claimants, attorneys, clients, and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures and project requirements.
Advancement and conversion to full-time employment are potential opportunities and are not guaranteed. Assignment lengths are estimated based on the expected load or scope of work. There is a possibility that the work may last longer or finish sooner than anticipated.
