Lead content strategy and produce deep, original educational assets that translate complex technical and governance topics for diverse audiences. Collaborate with SMEs to build authoritative, structured content optimized for human readers and AI answer engines, and establish scalable, AI-native production workflows while maintaining accuracy and voice.
The summary above was generated by AI

Backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, Peregrine helps public safety organizations, state and local and governments, federal agencies, and private-sector institutions address society’s challenges with unprecedented speed and accuracy. Our AI-enabled platform turns siloed and disconnected data into operational intelligence — instantly surfacing mission-critical information to empower better, faster decisions that improve outcomes at every touchpoint. Today Peregrine supports hundreds of customers across 30+ states and two countries, serving more than 125 million people — and we’re amplifying our impact as we expand into the enterprise and internationally.

The role

We’re building educational content experiences that help communities, Peregrine users, and decision-makers understand how modern data infrastructure can strengthen government effectiveness, accountability, and trust. As Content Lead, you’ll collaborate with internal subject matter experts to own how we educate a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences, and how that knowledge builds Peregrine’s authority across the ecosystem.

This is a hands‑on role. You will personally research, write, structure, and ship high‑authority content, while laying the groundwork for a function that can scale over time. This is not traditional content marketing. Our audience includes government leaders, technical practitioners, community stakeholders, journalists, and AI‑powered answer engines. The work requires rigor, clarity, and empathy — and directly supports awareness, trust, and long‑term demand.

In this role, you will…
  • Own Peregrine’s content strategy across technical, policy, and public‑facing topics
  • Produce deep, original content (guides, explainers, primers, learning hubs), not blog‑led SEO assets
  • Translate complex technical and governance concepts for technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Design content as experiences, aligning format and medium to key audience group preference and behavior
  • Partner with internal SMEs to develop high‑integrity analysis across domains like justice, public safety, city operations, and data governance
  • Establish Peregrine as a trusted source for AI answer engines through first‑principles AEO/GEO and highly structured, original content
  • Build a scalable content production pipeline using AI-native workflows to accelerate research and production while maintaining a high bar for accuracy, voice, and originality
What you’ll bring
  • Background in political science, economics, criminology, public policy, or experience producing rigorous content for technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to create substantive, defensible content that stands up to expert scrutiny
  • Exceptional written communication skills and comfort explaining complex systems
  • Experience building content beyond blogs (long‑form analysis, educational hubs, technical explainers)
  • Deep understanding of AEO/GEO and how authority is earned in AI‑powered answer engines
  • Strong cross‑functional skills and ability to work closely with technical and non‑technical SMEs
What success looks like
  • Peregrine has a clearly organized, widely referenced library of educational content trusted by human audiences and AI answer engines
  • Our content consistently surfaces for high‑intent questions about government data, privacy, and public‑sector infrastructure
  • Stakeholders can confidently understand how our technology works through clear, transparent explainers of how our technology works
  • Journalists, community stakeholders, and internal teams rely on this content as a credible source
  • The foundation is in place to scale this into a broader content function over time
You might thrive in this role if…
  • You’re highly self‑directed and energized by ambiguity
  • You care deeply about accuracy, nuance, and public understanding
  • You think like a humanist when communicating and a technologist when designing workflows
  • You value impact and trust over volume or vanity metrics
  • You have a background in economics, policy analysis, or a related field
