Salary: starting at $95,000 depending on experience + annual discretionary bonus.

Location: 100% on-site at our Ladera Ranch, CA headquarters.

Corporate Accountant Job Summary

The Corporate Accountant will prepare financial reports to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Performs general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
  • Assists with preparing monthly financial statement consolidation and quarterly financial statement packages for senior management.
  • Coordinates and reviews monthly reporting from property accountants.
  • Produces journal entries, account reconciliations, and other general accounting duties.
  • Maintains the general ledger.
  • Prepares supplemental financial schedules.
  • Assists in the preparation of internal reports for variance analysis.
  • Assists with external financial statement audits.
  • Assists with Treasury management.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Needed

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required.
  • Minimum 1 - 3 years’ experience in Public Accounting and/or private company accounting experience
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
  • Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Be detailed oriented while multi-tasking in a fast-paced company
  • Must be hands-on and work effectively in a demanding environment
  • Be able to adapt quickly to change
  • Real Estate/REIT experience a plus
