Corporate Communications Manager - Energy
A day in the life
Prologis is seeking a Corporate Communications Manager to support and elevate external communications for its growing Prologis Energy business, including solar, storage, on-premise energy solutions and more.
This role will help shape and execute strategic communications that reinforce Prologis’ leadership in sustainability, distributed energy and utility-integrated infrastructure.
This individual will be part of the Global Communications team and will partner closely with colleagues across Energy, Data Centers, Real Estate, Government Affairs, Legal, Marketing and other key functions.
The ideal candidate brings strong media fundamentals, excellent writing skills, sound judgment and experience communicating about complex, technical and highly regulated industries. A deep understanding of how U.S. utility operations, regulation and grid interconnection processes work in practice is preferred.
Finally, this person will bring intellectual curiosity, strong editorial instincts and a collaborative spirit and know how to work hard while keeping a sense of perspective (and humor!)
Key responsibilities include:
Support the development and execution of communications strategies aligned with Prologis Energy business objectives and broader corporate priorities.
Translate complex energy, utility and regulatory concepts—including interconnection, rate structures, grid capacity, DER integration and wholesale/retail market dynamics—into clear, compelling messaging for diverse audiences.
Maintain and apply consistent message frameworks across multiple stakeholder groups.
Manage inbound media inquiries in coordination with senior communications leaders.
Draft statements, press materials, FAQs, executive talking points, bylines, op-eds and briefing documents.
Partner closely with Government Affairs and Legal to ensure alignment on public policy positioning, regulatory sensitivities and disclosure considerations.
Apply sound judgment in assessing reputational risk and opportunity in a fast-moving, highly scrutinized environment.
Support reporting on communications metrics.
Reinforce communications governance, including approvals, spokesperson policies and compliance considerations.
Build credibility across internal functions.
Manage and prioritize multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
Building blocks for success:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field.
5+ years of professional experience in communications, public relations or related fields.
Agency experience required.
Experience communicating in the U.S. utility sector, energy infrastructure, grid operations or regulated energy markets.
Strong working knowledge of U.S. utility operations, regulatory frameworks, rate structures and interconnection processes.
Experience supporting media relations, corporate communications programs, issues management and/or public affairs initiatives.
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with strong editorial judgment and command of AP style
Ability to exercise sound judgment in high-visibility, sensitive situations.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude).
Can contribute to a high-performing team culture with energy, positivity and a sense of fun
Preferred:
Public policy acumen in energy regulation, utility proceedings or state/federal energy policy.
Experience in infrastructure, real estate or other highly regulated sectors.
Hiring Salary Range of: $118,000 - $136,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
