The Opportunity

As Reducto’s first in-house Video Producer, you’ll define how we tell stories through video: from creative product launches and customer stories to developer content and behind-the-scenes looks at our team.

This is a rare opportunity to build Reducto’s video function from the ground up. You’ll have the freedom to shape our video strategy, develop original series, and experiment with new formats, but you’ll also be the person behind the camera and in the edit. You’ll own the entire creative process, from the first idea and shot list through filming, editing, and publishing.

You’ll sit on the marketing team and work closely with our founders, engineers, sales team, customers, and the rest of the company. The right person combines the instincts of a storyteller with the resourcefulness of a hands-on producer and is excited to make technical ideas feel clear, creative, and worth watching.

This is an on-site role based in our San Francisco Office.

What You’ll Do
  • Own video from concept through final cut, including ideation, scripting, pre-production, filming, lighting, sound, editing, and delivery.

  • Develop repeatable video series and original formats that highlight our people, culture, product, customers, and perspective on AI. Experiment often, learn from what resonates, and help establish a distinctive visual and editorial voice for Reducto.

    • Concept and produce creative product launches that make technical capabilities compelling and memorable.

    • Create customer stories and case-study videos, working directly with customers to capture what they have built with Reducto.

    • Partner with engineering and developer relations to produce technical explainers, demos, interviews, and educational content for developers.

    • Capture life at Reducto through employee profiles, founder content, office moments, off-sites, conferences, and industry events.

  • Turn each production into content for multiple channels, creating thoughtful edits for YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Tiktok, and paid campaigns.

  • Can create motion graphics, animation, or other visual elements that make product stories easier to understand.

  • You are excited about AI and eager to experiment with emerging tools for animation, asset generation, editing, and production, while bringing the creative judgment to know when they genuinely improve the work.

  • Work closely with the broader marketing team to connect video to launches, campaigns, social content, events, and company priorities.

  • Build the systems behind a high-output video function, from production workflows and equipment recommendations to asset organization and external support.

You’ll Thrive Here If You
  • Have a strong portfolio of work you personally produced, filmed, and edited. Your application should clearly explain your role in each featured project.

  • Hold yourself to a high bar for quality and craft, with strong attention to the details that make a video feel polished—from framing and sound to pacing, design, and the final edit.

  • Are deeply curious about AI and technology, but also interested in how to highlight the human stories behind it.

  • Have excellent storytelling instincts and know how to find a strong narrative in a product, a person, or an everyday company moment.

  • Can direct people who are not professional on-camera talent and help them feel natural, confident, and interesting.

  • Take full ownership. You won’t wait for someone else to turn an idea into a brief, schedule the shoot, or finish the edit.

We aren’t optimizing for a particular number of years of experience. We’re looking for evidence that you can recognize a strong story, make it real, and carry it across the finish line yourself.

Bonus Points If You
  • Have worked as the sole or first video hire at an early-stage or high-growth startup.

  • Come from a multidisciplinary creative background spanning video, photography, design, journalism, writing, or social content.

  • Have experience in media, including YouTube, digital publications, newsrooms, documentary production, or creator-led channels.

  • Have produced content for technical, developer, or B2B audiences.

  • Have experience filming customer interviews, events, conferences, or documentary-style stories.

  • Have built or grown a social or YouTube channel and understand how format, pacing, packaging, and distribution affect performance.

Why Reducto
  • Impact: You’ll establish a new creative function and shape how the world understands Reducto, our customers, and our team.

  • Ownership: You’ll have the freedom to develop original ideas and the responsibility to bring them to life.

  • Access: You’ll work directly with founders, engineers, customers, and teams building at the frontier of AI.

  • Speed: We move fast, ship often, and iterate in days, not months.

  • Learning: Work alongside world-class engineers, operators, and founders who care deeply about product, precision, and velocity.

This is an in-person role based in our San Francisco office. We’re an early-stage company, we move fast and work hard. Please apply only if that excites you.
