About Us

Conversion is the agentic marketing automation platform for modern enterprises such as Plaid, ClickHouse, Webflow, and Productboard. Our platform lets growth teams run their entire go-to-market motion in one place, from acquisition through retention, with AI agents doing the work that legacy tools like Marketo, HubSpot, and Pardot can't.

We've raised $28M+ from Abstract Ventures, True Ventures, and HOF Capital. The team is based in San Francisco and includes engineers, designers, and operators from Airbnb, Palantir, Pinterest, IMC, Shopify, LinkedIn, and Microsoft.

About the Role

Hey there! James here đź‘‹, co-founder at Conversion. Just wanted to share my thoughts on the perfect candidate we're looking for to be one our Founding Deployment Strategists.

So what exactly is a Deployment Strategist? At Conversion, they make sure enterprise AI deployments succeed. A $100k+ deal does not survive on a nice pitch or a self-serve onboarding flow. It survives if the customer sees value in the pilot.

This means embodying four core responsibilities:

  1. Sales enablement: Partnering with the sales team to help close deals and execute proof-of-concepts for enterprise customers.

  2. Customer migration: Orchestrating the transition from a customer’s existing marketing infrastructure onto Conversion, acting as the bridge between their teams and our engineers to ensure a smooth and successful implementation.

  3. Succeeding with Conversion: Helping advise marketing teams on how to use this powerful new tool to 10x their marketing efforts. AI is now just finding it's way into enterprises, and we need someone to help customers discover what's truly possible in a post-LLM world.

  4. Shaping product: Working closely with engineering and product to shape the product with the most valuable input of all: customer feedback

This role is in-person 5 days/week in San Francisco.

You Might Be a Good Fit If You
  • Thrive cross-functionally, working alongside engineering, growth, and product

  • Have studied or worked in software engineering, but found that interfacing with customers is much more exciting than writing code all day

You Might Be a Great Fit If You
  • Love helping customers, and gain fulfillment from seeing customers thrive and succeed with the products we build
