Are you a rockstar utility professional with a track record of taking on challenges and creating meaningful change? Are you looking to join a high-energy, mission-driven company?

The E Source Data Science business unit is looking for a Director, Sales Innovation with an entrepreneurial spirit who finds great satisfaction in building something from the ground up. You should possess an executive presence with a keen ability to translate innovative data-driven concepts into a clear and concise message that resonates with prospective clients and helps them understand the value of doing something new and transformative. High-energy individuals who enjoy challenges and have a healthy level of grit will thrive and progress in our organization.

We're trying to break the mold on what sales should be: we are looking for innovative creative thinkers who understand utility problems and can have consultative conversations with them about how the new space of data science might help solve those problems... and then hopefully move that innovative problem-solving conversation towards a sale.

How you’ll help:

  • Lead executive-level conversations about E Source solutions

What will make you a great fit

  • At least seven years of professional experience

  • Proficiency with complex sales-cycle, solution, and product selling; a combination of the three is preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office apps

  • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM system

  • Experience working with electric, gas, or water utilities

  • Familiarity with how electric utilities can leverage data science to better engage with their customers and drive increased value from grid investments

  • A bachelor’s degree or work-related experience

What you can expect:

  • Excellent insurance options, including medical, dental, and vision plans; company-paid life insurance; company-paid long- and short-term disability insurance; and medical and dependent-care flexible spending plans.

  • A flexible time off (FTO) program where you can take as many paid days off per year as they need, with manager approval, while fulfilling their work obligations and ensuring proper coverage of their responsibilities.

  • Flexible schedules, flexible work locations, and a paid parental leave benefit.

  • A 401(k)/RRSP plan with a 3% employer match.

This role has a base salary of $135,000–$160,000 and an on‑target earnings (OTE) range of $300,000–$350,000, based on base salary plus commission. Commission is uncapped, so earnings can exceed OTE based on performance.

This role is 100% remote. Travel is anywhere between 25-40%.

Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US. We’re unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
