The Role

We are seeking a Director with 15+ years of experience in infrastructure hardware manufacturing and strong project management expertise. This role manages end‑to‑end supply chain operation, including NPI and ramp up materials planning, market trend analysis, logistics & shipping hub operations, inventory management—and leads cross‑functional projects to ensure on‑time, cost‑efficient delivery of complex electrical panel control systems.


Reporting into the Vice President of Supply Chain & Manufacturing Operations, the individual will be responsible for generating material plans and factory build plans and ensuring customer satisfaction via meeting on-time delivery metrics on an ongoing basis. The individual will lead a team of experienced professionals at multiple geographic locations worldwide providing world-class support for both internal and external customers. Besides having near-term execution responsibility, the individual will be responsible for driving increased automation and capability utilizing SPAN’ supply chain planning software tools. In addition, the individual will collaborate with teams that include Demand Planning, Sales, Product, Sourcing, Factories, Logistics, and IT to improve and automate supply chain and execution efficiencies. The individual will also contribute towards execution of the company’s overall strategy, financial initiatives, Digital Supply Chain Roadmap initiatives, and integrity of the Supply Chain

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for the supply planning organization, aligning with
    overall business objectives and financial targets.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of supply planning professionals.

  • Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, forecast accuracy, inventory
    optimization, and service levels.

  • Lead materials planning, demand forecasting, and production readiness for SPAN programs.

  • Manage the generation of a feasible supply plan that balances demand requirements,
    production capacity, inventory targets, and financial objectives.

  • Drive the Supply Review stage of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, providing
    clear direction on capacity utilization, inventory policy, and exception management.

  • Establish and monitor key supply chain metrics (e.g., inventory turns, service level, forecast
    bias, constrained plan adherence) and implement corrective actions as necessary.

  • Ensure alignment between the long-range strategic capacity plan and the near-term
    operational plan.

  • Oversee daily operational execution with contract manufacturers (CMs) and key strategic
    suppliers, ensuring alignment on build plans, materials availability, quality performance, and
    delivery commitments. Drive accountability through structured governance, performance
    metrics, and proactive issue resolution to maintain uninterrupted production flow.

  • Lead the execution of manufacturing, planning, and inventory strategies to guarantee
    product availability and mitigate global supply chain risks before they impact the customer.

  • Oversee global logistics, import/export compliance, and 3PL/4PL hub operations.

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels while reducing shortages, excess, and obsolescence.

  • Manage cross‑functional projects for NPI (New Product Introduction) and capacity ramp‑ups.

  • Direct global supplier performance management, ensuring alignment to critical metrics for
    quality, delivery, capacity, responsiveness, and cost.

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Program Management, Finance, and Sales to ensure that
    CM decisions support product roadmaps and cost/performance targets.

  • Coordinate supplier selection and alternative sourcing assessments for new programs.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups to assess CM capacity, scalability, and investment
    requirements to guarantee global alignment with SPAN's growth roadmap.

About You 

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ overall years supply chain and high-tech industry experience or related field and 8+
    years of leadership experience

  • Extensive Supply Chain Operations leadership experience building and engaging global
    ODM, JDM, and CM partners

  • BA/BS (Masters preferred) or equivalent experience

  • Expertise in leading multiple supply chain management functions

  • Outstanding negotiation skills and in executive supplier management

  • Great communication and influencing skills working with engineering, finance, business units, and other supply chain functions

  • High degree of integrity, initiative, and attention to detail

  • Strong background in materials, planning, purchasing, logistics, and inventory control.

  • ERP/MRP proficiency (NetSuite and Salesforce preferred).

  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional supply chain projects and implement large-
    scale planning systems.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, model scenarios, and
    present clear, data-driven recommendations.

  • Demonstrated ability to create new processes and tools in high-growth, ambiguous
    environments (startups or business units that 5×–20×’d revenue in <5 years
