Pivotal Systems is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations Supply Chain to lead the strategic development and execution of our supply chain processes. This role will play a crucial part in optimizing efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the seamless flow of products through the supply chain.


Key Responsibilities:

    Supply Chain Strategy:

 

Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with Pivotal Systems' business objectives.

Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure a cohesive approach to achieving organizational goals.

 

    Procurement and Vendor Management:

 

Cultivate and manage relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions.

Implement procurement best practices to optimize costs and enhance supplier performance.

 

    Inventory Management:

 

Oversee inventory planning and forecasting, implementing strategies to minimize carrying costs while maintaining optimal stock levels.

Implement robust inventory control measures to prevent discrepancies and shortages.

 

    Logistics and Distribution:

 

Streamline transportation and distribution processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.

Collaborate with logistics partners to optimize shipping routes and reduce transit times.

 

Team Leadership:

 

Lead a high-performing, cross-functional supply chain team, fostering collaboration and a culture of continuous improvement.

Provide mentorship and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and contribution.

 

Performance Metrics and Reporting:

 

Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain operations, regularly assessing performance against benchmarks.

Prepare and present comprehensive reports to executive leadership on supply chain performance and improvement opportunities.

 

Continuous Improvement:

 

Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to maintain Pivotal Systems' competitive advantage.

 

Risk Management:

 

Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.

Monitor external factors affecting the supply chain and proactively address challenges.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in supply chain management with a focus on operations and logistics.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading and developing high-performance teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, industry best practices, and emerging trends.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
