The Role

We are seeking a Director, Supply Chain & Strategy to join Oura's Supply Chain organization. This is a senior leadership role sitting at the intersection of operational execution and long-horizon strategic thinking. The Director will serve as the connective tissue between day-to-day supply chain operations and Oura's broader growth agenda — owning how the organization measures itself, tells its story to senior leadership and external stakeholders, and shapes its multi-year trajectory.

The ideal candidate is a high-agency operator who has built functions and processes from scratch, thrives in high-ambiguity environments, and is equally at home translating complex operational data into executive-ready narratives and rolling up their sleeves to build the infrastructure that enables faster, higher-quality decisions. Experience bridging commercial and operational thinking — understanding how supply chain decisions connect to revenue, margin, and growth — is a strong differentiator. This is a hybrid role based out of our San Francisco office with the expectation to be onsite 3 days per week.

What You Will Do:

Business Intelligence & Reporting Infrastructure

  • Own the design, standardization, and continuous improvement of supply chain data and business reporting across the organization — including cadence, metrics, format, and distribution.
  • Run the supply chain business review rhythm: weekly operational reviews, monthly leadership reviews, and quarterly deep-dives — ensuring each forum drives decisions, not just updates.
  • Build and maintain a single source of truth for supply chain KPIs (OTD, E&O, warranty, COGS vs. should-cost, inventory turns, cash conversion cycle) and partner with Data & Analytics to automate reporting pipelines.
  • Leverage AI and modern data tooling to accelerate insight generation, surface anomalies proactively, and reduce manual reporting burden across the organization.

Cross-Functional Strategy & Long-Range Planning

  • Lead the development of Oura's multi-year supply chain strategy in partnership with Finance, Product, Hardware Engineering, and Commercial teams — translating product roadmap and growth targets into operational capability requirements.
  • Drive make-vs-buy, dual-source, and footprint decisions that balance resilience, cost, and time-to-market across Oura's global manufacturing network.
  • Partner with the CSCO on org design, capability building, and the operating model

Executive & External Reporting

  • Prepare and deliver supply chain materials for Board of Directors updates  and senior executive reviews — translating operational complexity into clear, credible narratives.
  • Partner with Finance and Legal to ensure supply chain data integrity and narrative consistency across external-facing materials.

AI-Powered Operations

  • Champion the adoption of AI and automation tools across supply chain functions — from demand signal enrichment and supplier risk monitoring to document processing, scenario planning, and executive communication.
  • Identify where AI can replace manual workflows, increase analytical throughput, or improve decision quality; build the internal playbook for responsible AI deployment in supply chain contexts.
  • Partner with IT/Systems and Data teams to build the data foundation required to scale AI use cases across planning, sourcing, logistics, and quality.

Team Leadership & Organizational Excellence

  • Operate as a senior partner to the supply chain leadership team (Supply Planning, Sourcing, NPI, Logistics, Manufacturing, Quality) — bringing structure, analytical support, and strategic challenge to each function.
  • Drive operating cadence and accountability mechanisms across the supply chain organization.

What We're Looking For

  • 15+ years of experience spanning strategy, operations, or supply chain — with demonstrated progression into senior leadership and a track record of building in ambiguous, high-growth environments.
  • Proven ability to build processes, reporting systems, and operating cadences from scratch; comfortable owning a function before the playbook exists.
  • Experience preparing materials for Board of Directors, investors, or other external stakeholders; comfort with investment-grade narrative and financial rigor.
  • Commercial fluency — you understand how supply chain decisions connect to revenue, margin, and growth, and can translate between operational and business outcomes.
  • Deep fluency in supply chain metrics and financial linkages: COGS, gross margin, E&O, inventory turns, cash conversion cycle, warranty.
  • Strong cross-functional partnership skills — able to influence Finance, Product, Hardware Engineering, and Commercial teams without direct authority.
  • Experience developing multi-year supply chain strategies in high-growth consumer hardware, technology, or capital-intensive industries.
  • AI-native working style — you actively use AI tools to accelerate analysis, improve communication quality, and scale your team's output.
  • Exceptional executive communication skills: able to distill complexity into clear, concise narratives for senior audiences.
  • Proficiency with modern data and analytics tools; experience building or scaling BI infrastructure is a plus.
  • Experience with global manufacturing footprints, multi-CM environments, geopolitical supply risk, or cross-border operations is a strong plus.
