Our client, a world leader in biotechnology, is looking for a “Electrical Design Engineer 5” based out of Milpitas, CA.
Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)

Design and develop electrical parts, modules, and subsystems for complex systems
Own the complete design lifecycle from requirements and feasibility to manufacturing handoff
Perform electrical, power, timing, thermal, and load analysis
Develop schematics, simulations, and detailed design documentation using industry tools
Program and support PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
Support prototype build, system integration, testing, and troubleshooting
Collaborate with mechanical, software, systems, and manufacturing teams
Lead design reviews and present technical solutions to stakeholders
Work with suppliers to ensure design requirements, quality, and timelines are met
Resolve product issues across development, production, and post-release phases
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
8–12+ years of experience in electrical design and system development
Strong hands-on experience with circuit design, analysis, and simulation tools (OrCAD, PSpice)
Experience with FPGA / EPLD development tools (Xilinx, Altera)
Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar)
Experience supporting prototypes and transitioning designs to manufacturing
Strong understanding of system-level integration and testing
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
Experience working with cross-functional teams and external suppliers
